It's All Quiet Now

After the visit is over...

It's all quiet now in the house. I can't say it's back to normal because for almost three weeks the norm had been the cacophony of varied sounds from the scattered toys around the house. There was the train that chugged tirelessly around its track, a car that made pretend sound of engine starting, a motor speedway that sounded like an assembly plant. Then there was the sweet call for breakfast from Jeremy - "Loola...I want cereals" and from 9 month old Zane - "Waaaaah, translated to "I'm wet!" and if it sounded angry - "I waaant milk!" Then there were the digitized sounds from the iPad games, interrupted briefly with "Loolo, I need help" when Jeremy got stuck in one of the kiddie puzzle games.

Then there were the sounds from animated movies that tranformed my bed into a trampoline as Jeremy acted the scene from Curious George. Zane would jiggle his waist when there was a song and dance on TV. Can't help but smile, Our hearts were filled with joy as we watched the boys became livelier as the day progressed and filled the house with so much 'dissonant yet music to our ears, pleasant to our heart' sounds ... the norm when the boys were around.

But it's all quiet now.
