Because Brines have a large hearing range, they can hear noises higher or lower than humans can detect. As a result, they have developed a system of trills, this time more like a bird's trill than a cat's trill. These sounds can fall below or above the typical range humans can hear. The pattern is the same across packs, and are mostly used by the Alpha or superior Brine.

Short High Trill
Danger! Get Away!
Or
Help!
Alarming

Long High Trill
It's safe, you can relax.
Very calming

Two Short Trills
Come here, I need you [to tell you something or to do something].
Basically used to summon other Brines.

Long Low Trill
Get ready to fight.
Or
Get into position to fight.
Commanding

Short Low Trill
I don't trust this person.
Or
Be cautious.
Cautious

Some Brines will lower or raise the pitch of the trill so other species can hear the sound too. These Brines typically live in mixed villages or have a creature living with them that is not a Brine.

Whistling is a great alternative for creatures that want to signal to Brines. As long as the duration and pitch range matches the signal, Brines may respond properly.

Example: Both Notch and Cloud can get Herobrine and Ash to calm down by a long, high whistle.

I may or may not add more btw

RANT WARNING

Alright I'm gonna add this real quick. This is a pet peeve of mine and I see it a little too much on Wattpad. When writing your stories, PLEASE check your spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc. It takes away from the story (in my opinion) and honestly slows me down. I know it's probably the younger ones doing this, but proper writing skills are VERY important. You aren't sending a quick message to a friend, you're creating a beautiful world, and you don't want to dirty it up. Have fun, but pay attention in English (or whatever language you write in). The whole thing may be a bigger deal to me since I'm in high school and enjoy learning new styles in English.

To sum it up, check chapters carefully and write coherently. Don't shorten words like you would in a text message, like "btw", "cuz", or "plz". Take time to write out the full word. You'll sound a lot more mature and people with this pet peeve like me are far more likely to read your stories.

Obviously, updates and fun sections don't need to be written 'formally'. Go wild. :)

Tips: Dialogue can be written in full capital letters, but other text should follow proper capitalization. Use those screams sparingly though, people don't typically yell constantly.

This is more of a recent thing for me, but I've been using contractions in dialogue only in my stories (don't, I've, haven't, etc).

I brought this up since I want to add more books to my library but some were not written in a way that makes reading easy...

Not sure if anyone else has this pet peeve but I do and lemme tell you...

WRITING A STORY WITH IMPROPER GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION, AND SPELLING IS NOT A WRITING STYLE. IT'S CALLED BEING LAZY (unless you haven't learned it yet but seriously, if it doesn't look right, ask for help. Could be someone irl or on Wattpad, there are plenty of people who would be willing to help).
