"BEEP,BEEP,BEEP" my alarm screamed in my ears. Slowly opening my eyes I hit the snooze button, knowing I'm playing a dangerous game. The smell of coffee invades my nostrils making me sigh at the welcoming smell. Suddenly my door bursts open, only to be greeted by a obnoxious six year old. This is of course Ethan my little, irritating brother. "NOVA!!! Wake up! It's school today!" he says almost screaming while jumping on my bed. "I can't wait to see all my friends again." he says more to himself. 'What is wrong with him? Who gets this exited over school?' I thought to myself as covered my face with my galaxy themed pillow. As you can clearly see, I simply don't do mornings,at all. Nada. Nope. No. I groaned as I slowly rolled out of bed, I didn't even get time to actually stand up probably before I got dragged out of my 'fabulous' room. I only now notice that he was already dressed, even though it was only 7 AM. In his cute little jeans and striped t-shirt, he looked handsome... a bit to cute for a six year old. Starting, almost falling, down the stairs my eyes focused on my Mom who has started breakfast. Still in her PJ's and a messy bun she kissed me on the forehead. "Morning love, I see Ethan has gotten you out of bed." she chuckles slightly as she rubbed Ethan's head messing his hair up. She hands me a cup of coffee and sets a plate of breakfast in front of me. Just as I was about to indulge into a piece of bacon, it escapes my grasp as I see a pair of chubby hands grabbed it and stuffed my beautiful piece of heaven into a tiny, filthy mouth while staring me straight in the eye, finishing it in 1 whole bite. "Hey, no fair!" I say to Ethan. "Growth spurt." says the little blond haired boy with guilty green eyes who was looking at his blue trainers. "Here, honey." my mom says in her sweet motherly tone as she hands me a another piece of bacon. "Thanks mom." I mumble smiling. As soon as the salty heaven hits my tongue I am transported to another world, but I get snapped back to reality by my mom that reminds me that I have to go back to the hell-hole called school. " Finish up or you'll be late." I shove the remainder of my breakfast in my mouth and run back up the stairs to start my school morning ritual. After deciding on a red and black checked flannel shirt, some jeans and my old black converse high tops, I throw my dark brown almost black hair into a grey beanie, I make my way to the bathroom where I brush my teeth and glance at the clock. I almost forget to take my school bag as I go down stairs. Back in the kitchen I finish my now cold coffee in one big gulp. "ETHAN! WE'RE LATE!!!" I scream as I grab my brown lunch bag. "Bye mom." I say as I kiss her on the cheek. Ethan wobbles down the stairs running to the door "Bye mommy." he says over his shoulder.

Each morning I take Ethan to kindergarten and catch my bus near his school.
We hurry all the way to his school. I drop him of and catch my bus before it leaves for the next stop. As I walk along the aisle and get to my usual seat I notice it is taken. The person sitting on my seat is a boy who looks about the same age as me. He has dark hair and a almost caramel skin tone. His eyes are closed and I see he has earphones on. The only thing I found a bit strange about him is that he was dressed in all black. Avoiding a rather awkward conversation I move to the back of the bus. Just when I sat down I start going through my bag looking for my earphones, I realized I forgot them on my nightstand... It is a 20 minute bus drive to school so I guess I need to appreciate the silence as there is not much of it at home. Its always been me, mom and Ethan. My dad died in a car accident when I was about 8 and mom was pregnant with Ethan. My mom doesn't really talk about him. She quit her job after he died and realized how short and precious life is. She now runs a companies social media for a living, it's a bit weird, but hey it pays the bills. It's a cloudy day outside which is not unusual for a fall day. I get snapped back to reality when I hear someone clear their throat. Of course. Standing in front of me is no other than Bridget and her minion Hailey. Bridget is wearing jean shorts and a lace, long sleeve shirt which has a low cut showing way to much skin. Her dark hair with caramel highlights is made into a messy bun and she is rocking a choker along with it. Dang I don't understand how they wear a different attire almost every day. "That's our spot" Hailey says. She is dressed in a Adidas shirt with a boyfriend shirt tied around her waist. Her white all stars almost glow under the light in the bus. It's kind of obvious to see that she dyed her hair blonde again over the summer break. Without making eye contact I move to the aisle again looking for a spot. The bus is pretty full and the only place with a spot open is next to the seat thief. Slowly I move to the spot open next to the mystery boy. Great, just what I need. I plop down next to him. He glances over at me. For the first time I see he has emerald green eyes, they are filled with fear. He quickly looks back out of the window.
