"lousy jobs" the article flew across the room, hit the plastered wall and landed with a rustle; inches from Toby my pet cat. Two weeks of the summer holidays have gone by and finding a rewarding job seem impossible.
College is really expensive,my family background makes things worse. The only chance to gain an upper hand is to earn some money during the holidays. It seemed easy at first but with a glimpse of my apartment floor littered entirely with job articles,i am having second thoughts.
After several minutes of walking around my grim room i decide to head out and take a walk around the neighbourhood looking for any opportunity that forgot to knock on my miserable door. I put on my heavy jacket and lowered the hood over my forehead. The cold winds which came from outside forced my hands to the warmth of my pockets as i closed the door behind me.
It is 6.00 pm but the street was entirely possessed with darkness that slowly drained the old street lamps of their dim light. I was careful with my steps jumping over a puddle or avoiding bumps every few seconds;it was as if the cold stone paving was expecting my brutal fall so it could taste my blood though my bruises an cuts. I jogged quickly passes the birch tree which dominates the area with its bony arms. I could still hear the faint cry of the evening crows as i move further from the tree; calling me to hang myself on its branches and let my rotting body be a feast to their savage hunger. Something about tonight seemed odd; it sent chills up my spine and i was pretty sure it wasn't the cold.
To my delight i soon reached the lighted shop fronts of the Mellow street where i might have a slight chance of finding a decent job. The street was deserted as usual. I talked with the green grocer Mr.Marin, pale Mrs.Violet nodded her head even before i enter the bookshop and my long conversation with Peter ended with me getting my tenth "no" of the day. I looked at my rusty wristwatch and it showed that soon it will be half past seven. I must be home before 10pm,but i was too desperate that i walked further in the dark of the night.
