"Sam come on! We got to go!" Alex said banging on my bedroom door.

"Give me a second" I shouted. I grabbed my vans and my bag. Today was the first day in the studio.

"Sam let's go!" Alex shouted. I ran downstairs and out to the car where Alex was sitting in the drivers seat "We have to do a coffee run" he said as I got in the car.

"Okay" I said. Thank god I needed caffeine so bad. "thanks again for letting me do this with you guys"

"No problem" he said with a huge smile on his face. "I figured that it would be better if you were with us" we were both silent until we got to Starbucks

We got out of the car and walked through the parking lot.

"Okay so you're getting Jacks because I forgot his order" Alex said as we got on line.

"Alex that's just sad" I said "You've known him almost longer than I have and you still don't know that he always gets a caramel machiado with whip cream and chocolate drizzle" he gave me a look

"Now that's sad" he said before ordering for himself, Rian, Zack, and flyzik. I ordered Jack's drink and I got the same thing but one size larger

"How'd you know Jack's coffee order?" Alex asked as we waited for our orders.

"Don't know" I shrugged

"Sam really?" he gave me the 'I know you're lying' look.

"I guess it just stuck in my mind" I said. The only reason I knew it was because he would get the same exact thing before practice everytime we made a coffee run. That was another thing that I loved about him.

"Whatever" Alex said grabbing his drinks. "I'll be in the car" he said before leaving

I got mine and Jack's drinks and headed out side. I was halfway to the car when I heard someone.

"One of those for me?" I jumped. I turned and saw jack standing behind me.

"What the fuck shit dick?" I said "Don't scare me" he laughed

"You are so related to Alex. Neither of you know how to curse properly" he said as we started walking to the car. I handed him his coffee.

"Hey why are you here anyway? Shouldn't you be at the studio?"

"Matt asked me to get the breakfast for everyone" he held up a brown bag then pulled out a bagle and handed it to me "Sesame with butter toasted" I smiled at the fact that he remembered the type of bagel I liked.

"Thanks"

"By the way no one trusted me with there cars so can I get a ride?" he asked rubbing his neck.

"Yeah come on" we walked up to the car and Alex rolled down the window

"Hey man" he said to jack

"Hey is it cool if I hitch a ride with you and Ef to the studio?" jack asked nervous

"Yeah man get in" Alex smiled. Jack and I got in the car and we headed off to the studio.

"Coffee!" Rian shouted.

"Nice to see you too" Alex said handing everyone their drinks. Jack pulled me over to the couch.

"So the first couple of days are kind of laid back really it's just vocals" he said

"Which means that Zack and I do nothing" Rian said laughing.

"Come with me I'll give you the tour" jack said helping me off the couch and leading me down the hall

"This is where we end the tour" jack said stopping at a paint splattered door. "The bathroom" I laughed at him a little for the way he said it with such importance.

"This must be an important part of the tour" I said still laughing.

"Well where else would we go to relieve ourselves?" he asked putting his hands on his hips.

"Only you" I said under my breath before taking one last sip of my coffee.

"Hey Effy can I ask you a serious question?" he asked throwing out his cup. I did the same before answering

"Sure go ahead" he started to rub the back of his neck. He was nervous about something.

"If it wasn't for Alex would you have kissed me?" I looked down and nodded. I could feel him walking closer to me. "If he didn't have the off limits rule would you agree to go to dinner with me?" I shook my head no. I knew he would be upset so I didn't look him in the eye "Why not?"

"Because I'm still hurting" I whispered.

"From what?" he asked. He gently took my hand in his

"Chris" I mumbled. I knew he heard me because I could feel his tense up and his hand got tighter around mine. "I'm so sorry" I finally looked him in the eye and immediately regretted it. He looked hurt.

"Don't be sorry okay?" he said pulling me closer to him "It's not your fault that he fucked up" I hugged him tightly and buried my face in his chest "Hey Ef?"

"Yeah jack?" I looked up.

"When you stop hurting I'll be here for you" a small smile appeared on his face

"Thank you Jack" I said smiling.

"Jack? Effy?" I heard Alex call.

"Coming" I called back. I let got of Jack and started to walk back

"Ef?" I stopped and faced him again.

"Yeah?"

"Just don't take too long" he said smiling.

"I'll try" smiling back, I turned and headed back to the other room.

Hey guys sorry it's kind of short. If there are some typos I'm sorry I just got acrylic nails and I'm not used to typing on my iPod with them

Also my prom is this friday. Wish me luck so I don't fall flat on my face walking in these five inch heels.
