"Ugh." Eve muttered as she threw her black backpack down on the couch once she got home from school. 'Where the hell is Haven?' She thought to herself.
Eve sat down to start her homework, figuring that her sister had just gotten caught up with that guy Logan again. It wasn't that she thought Logan and his twin weren't attractive; she just had more important things to focus on at the moment. She had to study for finals, which were in a week, and she had like two research papers to write.
How did the teachers expect her to get all of this done in a week?! They must be crazy.
"I am so screwed." she muttered to herself and covered her face with her hands.
"Hey, Honey." Eve's mom walked into the living room. "How was school?"
"Hey mom. School was good. Has Haven texted you? I haven't seen her since lunch, but I think she's hanging with that Logan guy again." she rolled her eyes.
"She hasn't contacted me... When is she going to realize that that man isn't good for her?"
"I mean, she is blind when she's in love, so probably not soon. Anyway, I'm sure she'll be-" Eve was interrupted when the door opened and Haven walked in.
"Ahhhh." Haven sighed as she flopped down onto the couch next to her twin.
"Where have you been young lady?" their mom asked, half joking, half serious.
"Logan took me out for coffee after school.. so that we could study for finals, of course." Haven smiled dreamily.
"Yeah. Sure. Finals." Eve said before getting up. "Speaking of, I'm tired of studying. What's for dinner mom?"
Their mom laughed and the girls looked at her, confused.
"I'm not making dinner tonight." She said. "You two can have some leftovers, though." She smiled.
Eve groaned and waited until their mom left to talk to her sister.
"Want to see if Scarla and Luna wanna go get pizza or something?" Eve offered.
"Sure." Haven pulled out her phone and texted their friends.
A few seconds later, her phone dinged a couple times, both of the messages signifying that they wanted to go. She texted them that they would pick them up in half an hour.
"What am I gonna wear?" Eve groaned to herself.
"I can help you." Haven offered.
"No. I don't want your help because then you'll make me wear a skirt and high heels or something."
"You look so good in a skirt though!" Haven explained with a smile.
"Hay, I don't have time for your fashion advice. Okay? I'm just gonna wear what I want to wear and that's it."
"Fine." Haven said as she got up from the couch. "Don't say I didn't try to help you."
Eve didn't understand her sister's constant attempts to try and "help" her with her fashion choices. She was perfectly fine on her own.
