March 24th, 1999. Bethesda, Maryland. 8 pounds 13 ounces. This may seem like a normal day and a random place to you and the weight of some random object, but that, dear reader, is the day I was born, the city and state I was born in, and how much I weighed as a newborn. Yeah, I know. Heavy baby for early 1999. Don't judge. They don't exactly have weight watchers for fetuses, ok? Now, I may not have memories of this time, but I was told I had blonde/orange peach fuzz for hair and sparkling blue eyes. I was told that, as a baby, I was very picky about my pacifiers. I would spit out the ones with brown ends. I guess I thought they tasted weird or something. I also laughed and smiled a lot and looked like the Gerber Baby. At least that's what my mom always said. I had an older sister who would bite me a lot. She was about 2 months away from being 3 when I was born so it wasn't like she was a 6 year old biting her baby sister. Sometimes I wish I could go back to being a baby so that life wouldn't be so hard and my biggest concerns would be eating, when I could take my next nap, and when someone would change my diaper. If only I had known from the beginning just how complicated and painful life could get. Then again, it's nice to think about how innocent and untouched by the evils in this world I was back then, thinking life was always going to be so amazing.
