Chapter 6(R.E): Pictures, Unfriendly encounters, and The unexpected attack

A/N: Finally, an update! There was some unforeseen and unavoidable issues regarding a personal matter that I had to deal with but I'm recovering from it now. I'm just glad I'm back in writing this story. So without further ado, enjoy the updated version.

I was walking beside Jonathan as he lead the way to the buffet table that he mentioned, and started asking if I wanted anything else aside from the sweets he promised to find me. I told him anything would do since I don't want to trouble him anymore than I already have and it was free food after all. Who am I to be picky?

He nodded with a smile showing off his perfect teeth. I tried my best not to stare at his handsome face that would surely put a blush on my face again, and held a vice grip on my camera.

I know he was good looking and had a muscular body to go with, but there was something about him smiling like that made him.....more handsome? It's just that seeing him smiling that wide and almost carefree made him a lot less intimidating. It made he look more cheerful and open, that is until he gets angry. He's really scary looking when he's angry.

I wanted to take picture of him while smiling like that, but I don't think that would be a good idea. The last thing I wanted is another person thinking I'm the creepy guy in parties taking photos of people without their consent, and I don't wanna creep him out.

When we reached the buffet area, I assumed, I pushed the thought away when a rather large table overflowing with all kinds food were being displayed and each had a designated theme that fitted the view. But what caught my attention was the stacked up champagne glasses just a few feet away from where we are standing.

It formed a pyramid and my hands twitches to get a photo of it as I stared up at it amazed. It was beautiful and I had the urge to get a shot of it. I circled around it without a second thought and was completely distracted by it.

I didn't even noticed Jonathan was following behind me until he pulled me back slightly just in time to avoid a collision course to guy munching down a sandwich. Turning back to Jonathan with a grateful smile, I muttered my thanks to him to which he respond with a mused smile.

I quickly look away hiding the flushed of embarrassment on my face and pointed my camera at the pyramid made of glasses. After some time of angling myself for a better shot, the lens caught something that distracted me more than this beauty.

It was a chocolate fountain, but it was probably the largest one I've ever seen yet. It was proper chocolate fountain indeed, and even in this distance the smooth cascading cocoa goodness was glittering brightly against the light before folding into small bumps, pushing outward like a slow moving wave of the chocolaty ocean goodness. It was calling to me and I happily obliged as I began to walk towards it with my mouth watering, the picture can wait is what I told to myself.

I heard someone laughing behind me the moment I move towards the fountain and he followed me throughout the way. The faint heat on my cheeks grew even hotter, I didn't dare to look back at him. I reached it finally and noticed the treats circling it.

I saw fruits, marshmallows, biscuits and other tasty treats that I couldn't name was surrounding it. I wanted to dipped them all in it but the tall figure behind me was preventing me. I can feel his eyes on me and somehow it's even more embarrassing than him laughing.

"Don't let me stop you. Go for it." I can hear the smile on his voice that burned my face. It got my cheeks red as cherry as a small smile forced its way on my face. I slowly faced him, and quickly stutter with my words while the feeling of embarrassment was still sinking deeper into me which didn't help me in forming words properly but someone else spoke and beat me to it.
