Sage strolled over to the high rock. A warrior stood outside it.
"Sage!... Strike wanted to see me..."
The cat nodded and meowed slightly. The huge leader stepped out of the darkness.
"Hello Sage" he bowed his head in respect to the feline.
"Come in, I have much to discuss with you" he turned and disappeared into the shadows, Sage followed him, looking curious and bold.
Once Sage's eyes adjusted to the light, she could see the cave clearly. It had a stuck up round rock in the middle of the large confinement. Herbs, seeds and vines hung from the roof. At the back of the cave, opposite to the main enterence, had vines covering it. However Sage could just about see a nest for the leader to lay and rest for the night.
Strike sat one side of the table and Sage day the other side.
"Am i introuble sir?" She sat straight and bold to show no fear of his next words.
"No sage, your not but I have a mission for you and a few of your warriors that you can choose of your own choi-" he was interrupted by another meow from outside he enterence.
"Come in!" He commanded
A young female came in, She was the deputy to lightning clan.
"And you started the meeting without me! How rude" she joked.
"As I was saying, you can pick warriors of your choice" Sage nodded.
"But sir, what is this mission?" She asked curiously.
"It's to talk to the keeper of the moon stone... She needs a word with me and we need help from her to show us the future of our clans safety. However I need to stay here as the tension is too high between the clans right now, will you accept this mission?" Sage hesitated becuase because the anxiety was too much *OMG my first mission for strike!* she thought.
"I will accept this mission sir! I won't fail you... But but I have a slight concern, who will train Ace while I'm gone?" She asked.
"Usually Clawd would but... I don't trust him round my young, so i will. She's in good paws don't worry."
Sage nodded and turned to leave and find her warriors of help.
It was moon high as Sage strolled across the camp. She heard a slight growl as she approached the warriors den.
"Where have you been?!" It was Clawd
"Not your business! But if you are going to be a bully, then I was with strike talking about something!" Sage snapped back. She was tired and couldn't deal with Clawd right now.
"Well, go to sleep!" I nodded, trying to be polite as i walked to the enterence emergence of the den.
"Oh and Sage!" I stopped and turned to listen to his stern voice.
"I'm sorry for my actions... It wasn't trying to find a fight with you, however I guess i was annoyed that you are the only female warrior." Sage muzzled behind his ear as a friendly manner.
"I understand your actions... good night sir"
Sage walked, hopped and skipped over the sleeping bodies untill she reached her bed at the back of the room next to Sparrow. He was cute when he slept becuase he always made little snoring noises.
She circled three times and settled. Her eyes lids were so heavy that she went to sleep in a few seconds.
Sage was running through a dark, muggy forest, she found a clearing. Fur, blood and grass flew across the sky infront of her blurry vision. Yowls of help and suffering came from all over the plane. She felt a hard, sharp pain in her back.
"Hey...Sage wake up!" The calming voice from sparrow woke her from her slumber.
"Hmm... oh just a dream.." Sage got up and stretched. She was relieved for it to have been only a dream. But could it be a message from The keeper of the moon Stone herself. That she wasn't sure if.
"You were moving alot in your sleep! You okay?" He helped Sage up as she nodded.
"Come, Strike wanted a meeting with you, Chester and I. Chester is already there and waiting by the high rock with Strike"
Sage nodded and ran with Sparrow by her side to the high rock to meet them.
"I'm glad tou could join us" joked Chester.
"This isn't a joke Chester, this is serious!"
Sage and Sparrow sat beside Chester as they discussed the mission with Sparrow and Chester.
"How hard can that be?" Questioned Chester.
"Harder then it sounds, Young one" answered Strike. "You see... She has obstacles and traps. The chosen ones can only complete these."
"And why do you think we are chosen." Sparrow questioned the leader.
Strike turned and flicked his tail. "Your the only felines that seem to have dreams about war.... Maybe she meand to speak with you?" He question. Sparrow have a strange look to Sage, she gave the same look back. Chester asked "when do we leave?" Strike smiled down at the male. "After you have had your fair share of prey.." Strike nodded, showing the meeting was over. The three young warriors walked over to a small enterence. Orabelle leaped out with three mice in her mouth.
"For you guys!" She said with the mice dangling in her jaw. She dropped them and the hungry warriors are their meal.
"Good luck on the mission!" Hissed Orabelle, she seemed sour that she wasn't coming.
"Cheer up Orabelle! They need to here has a medic!" Smiled Chester.
"SHOUDLNT YOU GET GOING!" a scream came from the other side of the clearing, Clawd came walking over with no more emosion in his face.
"We are going now.." Sparrow said, standing between Clawd and Sage, protecting her.
Chester nudged Sparrow and Sage away towards the open door.
"Are you ready?!" Questioned Sparrow
"Born ready!" They all leaped into the thick and dark forest.
