Chapter 1

•Alicia's Pov•

"Alicia"..I heard my mom's voice from downstairs .I had barely even finished dressing,I tucked in my red velvet dress and had difficulties zipping up,"hugh!"...I scuffed as I slipped over my heels.
I finally put it on.My room isn't that all fashioned up but it's just decorated to my taste.
It's decorated with an armchair beside my mirror at the right side and my wardrobe at the left side..a mirror opposite my bed and a reading lamp beside my bed.
"Alicia hurry up,we gonna be late for the wedding and you know Florida would be pissed if we arrived late"...
I glance at the mirror and smile."I'll be done soon mom"..I shouted realizing that this is the third time I'm attending Mrs Florida Green's wedding..my mom's bestfriend to be precise .

She really hasn't gotten settled down and not yet seen the man she loves,well I pray Mr.Barry is the right man for her.

I move downstairs trying to make my mom not break the building with her screams.

"You look beautiful Alicia" my mom said as I walked down the stairs,"thanks mom" is all I managed to say.

I turn around and see my 10 year old brother with his iPad,"Harry"..I say as he continued playing his games not realizing I'm talking to him."Harry!!" my mom shouted and immediately he jumped "what's with the shouting mom, you just made me lose my game...hugh!!! is it time already or you just want me to get something for you??"..Harry asked as he walked to door and opened it pointing out to the streets.

"We're just about to leave" my mom said as I grab my purse and remember to get my iPhone and earpiece..it seems my life isn't complete with those two.I walked to my mom's car and entered the backseat seeing Harry already took the passenger's seat.

I watched from the window as my mom stood on the front porch and locked the door.Well for a single mom though...I and Harry are her first priority and she'll do anything to protect us both...so much for my dad to leave her when she was pregnant and....

I let the thought skip my mind as my mom turned on the engine.."ready guys?" she asked."Sure mom" I reply as Harry still focus' on his iPad and no word slips out from his mouth.

"Someone's gonna need to take that iPad from you for weeks and maybe then all your attention won't be focused on it and boy!!!! put your seatbelt on"..I say to Harry as he puts his seatbelt on.

He looks back at me and asks "what's up with you Alicia and why are you shouting like an insect got hold of your skin hun??".
"You shouldn't talk to your sister like that Harry and she's right also, you focus all your attention on that piece of technical equipment" my mom says as I was about to hit Harry at the back of his head.

"Ok mom" Harry says putting his iPad down..which I'm sure it wouldn't take him 10 minutes to pick it up and focus his attention again.

"Where are you Aly..I really need your help...." i look down as my phone vibrates,it's my best friend Jenny..

Jenny👑:I just met this guy on one of the dating apps I told you about and I decided to meet him and then he told  me he'll meet me at this resturant.When I got there..he had all this piercings and tattoos and looked like a thug but he was cool and calm with me so I felt a little better and decided not to judge a book by its cover, he ordered a drink for me and since I took the drink I've been having this odd feeling in my tummy and getting dizzy.I didnt want to look rude and I told him to excuse me that I want to use the ladies..and that's where I am and I kinda have a feeling he spiked the drink...am out of thoughts and don't know what to do...

Alicia💎:I have three options for you
1:go face him and shout at him for spiking a girl's drink he just met  and get prepared for the  consequences
2:just play along and get ready to lose  your virginity to a useless fellow at the age of seventeen
3:just check around for an exit or a window or something and run like you've never done...

I smiled at myself and felt like I just gave the best advice to my bestfriend..I pray she's okay.

I put my earpiece on and scroll through Drake's albums TAKE CARE and then pick UNDER GROUND KING the songs kinda poppy and move my head to the tune.

I tried imagining the type of person my dad was since my mom told me he left her when he found out she was pregnant and claimed my mom had been cheating on him and the child wasn't his. He claimed "he had no right to take care of a child that didn't belong to him"...instead of him admitting he didn't have enough money to raise a child than making up a foolish lie.Back then they used to live in England and my mom couldn't stand it anymore so she moved to Washington and got a job at the bank, she lived with her sister for a few months and then she got her own house she gave birth to me after two months and did all her possible best to train me by herself. After four years she got married to her boss and then gave birth to Harry after some years.My mom was a bit happy that she found someone that could love her and me. And then she heard that he had been involved in an accident, this made her cry for some weeks and a young 10 year old who didn't even get to meet her father was the one always comforting her mother.

My attention drifted as my mom parked into the parking lot with a lot of cars..."we're there already" my mom said with excitement in her voice  as she turned off the engine.

I and Harry get out from the car and stepped inside the house.The house is massively big and has chandeliers of different sizes hanging around. It is accompanied a large staircase,it looks like those castles in cartoons...it is gorgeously designed with brown and caramel tiles and painting..the place is kind of crowded and there are lights shining from outside with people also...that Mr.Barry must be rich...

"Now you guys must behave properly and Harry I don't want you running about, Licia please take care of your brother...I'm going to see Florida and greet the guests"..my mom says wandering off.Okay!..that's it I think..only my mum calls me Licia but I prefer been called Aly or Ali.

"This is so boring, Alicia please I gotta pee" Harry says squeaking. "Go and be careful" is all is say even if it's obvious he's lieing, I walk looking around and then I bump into someone.

"I'm sorry" I say

"Watch it!!" I hear a male's voice

Omg!!!...I bumped into a male!!! I look up and see a beautiful figure standing looking at me.
