One may think that learning is easy and the right as well as responsibility of everyone; however, the ability to learn is in itself, I strongly feel, truly both a gift and blessing from our creator, Allah (God).
I remember some of the problems that I caused my-self while in college, related to my like of effective learning and development. Well, I almost did not have the necessary advantage needed to guarantee merely because I took two summer classes, but did not attend then nor did I dope then; of course I got an " F" in both of then which greatly lower my over all advantage. Another one of my problems was I would, like many other students, wait until the nights before a term paper was due to start writing it, by staying up all night. Every persons will certainly have his or her own issue with learning; however, many things are just common, good science if one really want to learn any way: well why no learn more.Listens for basic idea and supportive details
Just because one hears the teacher does not necessary mean that understanding of concepts are being received correctly. Added to this issue is that many teacher don't even teach clear concepts; however, these basic concepts are really what the mind needs in order to make correct storage of related information that will feed the understanding for the ideas that are being taught. Surely every item to learn has a basic structurer foundation and/or principle. For example; a book, has the clover, title, the content, selective pages and even some times an index. These elements are themselves based up on structural ideas. The clover usually is a glossy harder paper stock than all of the other pages found with in the book. The point here is that when one is attempting to learn something; the basic outlining structure should be viewed, but the students has to want this, look for this and find this, even if the instructor does not clearly point them; we now have the internet., paper dictionary plus many other reference book to check though; employ all of them if necessary.
Asking related questions
A question should open a door for greater understanding; therefore it should relate to the subject matter that being cover at the time and differently, if answered, adds more clarity to the idea being taught. Most students do ask related questions, but when one does not, the instructor must quickly keep the class on the point at hand while telling that student that the unrelated question will surely be dealt with a little later.
Following instructions and due dates
Why lost points for a late assignment and/or simply because instruction were to followed? Be sure that you first hear the instructions correctly, if spoken, if written perhaps THE SEVERAL TIME MORE SLOW LY.
Then of course provided that you don't wait until the night before the due date to start your assignment, really be sure to understand the instruction, be sure to ask he instructor early by e-mail or some means for clarity long before the dead line comes. I too know that sometimes fear or just doubt will prevent one for seeing even the basic thing clearly. But still, don't wait until the night before the due date to start the assignments.

Maintaining a good reason to learn
Motivation is a must for one trying to learn something. Why do I want this? "I want to learn this because I really need to improve my writing skills." perhaps a good response. Why do I need this? "I need to learn this system so that I will be more marketable...I could make more money." Perhaps a great response, you think? What could it do for me now or later? " Well , right now, before I get any older or even slower, I could build my awareness, communications skills as well as maybe help someone else learn a little also.", perhaps a good response, interesting, right?
