If Only ⇢ Kai x Ein

⇢ Chapter 8

"O-oh.. You guys get away with a lot of things" I laughed slightly.

"It's bad, yes, but honestly, what other choice do we have?" Kai signed and walked into the awaiting bathroom.

"Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like to go back to our old town. Ya know, where we all used to be. We'd probably get arrested straight away. We are quite known criminals there, everyone knows our faces. They probably think we're dead since we haven't done anything in so long." Kai spoke so softly.

"Kai...." I started.

He turned around and tilted his head. "Yes?"

"What type of crimes did you guys preform anyway? Apart from the one where you bet up that guy that insulted werewolves of course, you told me that." I asked, remembering all the newspapers I saw when I first arrived here and woke up in that little room.

Kai let out a soft laugh.

"We committed many crimes, but they weren't all intentional. We preformed crimes such as physical contact with other people, breaking into houses, robbery, and I even tried to break into the prison to try and save you.." Kai answered, his voice fading at the last part.

I looked down and smiled slightly.

"Yeah, I saw that on a newspaper when I was in the room that was filled with them." I smiled "But why did you commit crimes such as robbery? What were you trying to achieve from that?" I asked.

"You ask too many questions!" Kai laughed "I could ask you the same thing, why did you beat up kids in high school, what could you achieve from that, hmmmm?~" Kai joked and moved his face closer to mine.

I glared at him in return.

"T-That's not necessary!" I pouted and crossed my arms.

"Haha! I'm just joking with you! Now, you should get cleaned up. I would also like to see how your wounds are doing and if they still require bandages." Kai noted before carefully closing the door, leaving me standing in the bathroom alone.  

I best see how these wounds are doing. They don't hurt quite as much as they used to. I wince just thinking about how painful they once were.

I carefully pulled my black sweater over my head to reveal my scarred body. Filled with bandages and bandaids of all shapes and sizes. I will say, Kai did a decent job at patching me up.

I carefully unwrapped a large bandage that was tied around my waist, only to reveal a big scar.

There was no blood, just swelling and a scar. I guess Kai cleaned the blood off me.

I signed at my damaged body, full of wounds and dark bruises.

I was such a mess. I can't believe it. I tried to hurt Aaron, but I ended up also hurting myself.

I shook the nasty memories away and turned the shower on.

It felt so relieving to be able to properly cleanse myself. I smiled as the warm water ran through my hair, and cleansed my body.

I rubbed my fingers through my wet hair, but stopped when I felt no ears.

I signed and sunk to my knees, helplessly sitting on the shower floor.
