Biggest Arguments (Part 1)

Start from the beginning

When you brought up the issue, she had dismissed it within seconds. But you were persistent. You asked and asked until she snap at you that she didn't want you touching her. You had been hurt, saddened that she didn't want your affections. So you became quiet.

A few weeks she tried to lure you into the bedroom to lighten your mood, but you rejected her for the first time. You said you wouldn't sleep with someone who didn't want to cooperate or talk. So, after a while, Natasha talked. She didn't want her to see the scars from her operation, or ruin the mood by stopping half-way because she couldn't take being vulnerable. You had understood after her words and promised that you'd both work together to make each other happy, even if it meant compromising.

Thor: Memories - Sometimes you'd gain memories from your life before Asgard, but they were always hazy and confusing and utterly frustrating. One night you had dreamed of blood, crimson streams and pale grey skin, and the frustration and dizziness that came with it made you take it a step to far.

You had stabbed your arm with a small dagger, wishing for the memory to be clear and telling, to know what you were seeing for once, but your crying had woken Thor. His voice had been booming and angry at your stupidity, and you had only cried harder from pain and shame. He couldn't stay angry long, as he removed the dagger and tended to your wound, scolding you in a weary tone about how you didn't heal like him, to never hurt yourself.

After that night, you had promised to wake him if you needed anything, even if it was simply a hand to hold. You slept tucked under his arm, hoping to never make Thor angry again. Anger didn't suit your giant teddy bear after all.

Phil Coulson: Missions - During a mission, you had disobeyed orders to save a 'suspicious' hostage. You were the Angel Agent after all, you couldn't let them die. You had been naive though, and the hostage had turned out to be a rouge HYDRA spy. She shot you in the stomach and pushed you off the ship into the icy waters. You were lucky to live through it since Phil had jumped in after you.

"We have orders for a reason, (Y/N)!" He had yelled angrily, becoming sick of your compassion because it almost always got you into trouble. You apologies weakly, hand on the bandage of your stomach as you rubbed at the bitter memory. You had held each other close despite his obvious tense anger, but he didn't stay angry long. He did bring up the incident often when you went to do something stupidly brave, but that never stopped you.

Loki: Manipulation - Loki was god of mischief, so you shouldn't have been surprised when he got his way so often, but you were. You didn't even realise he was manipulating you until Sif pointed it out.

So you watched closer and realised that he did seem to sway you with words often. That made you angry. At him, and how you fell for it so easily. So one day, you snapped at him about it. Even after being called out, he tried to cover it with sweet words, but you refused to listen.

"No! I won't stand and let you manipulate me, Loki! I love you, but I can't keep this going if you're going to twist my opinion on everything!" You knew you're words were a big exaggerated, but you didn't care at the time. You were mad.

"So? What will you do then?" Loki was obviously expecting you to say 'let's work it out' or 'I want us to be more honest', so when you instead said you wanted to break off the courtship, he was stumped. He had stuttered and stared as you packed your things from his room and went to return back to your servant room, back to how life had been before...

You realised not long after that you had broken both your hearts.

Bucky: Nightmare - It had happened so suddenly. You'd been sleeping quite soundly, when you woke to Bucky's thrashing. You tried to calm him, but he lashed out, his metal fingers pinning your neck against the sheets and squeezing. You wheezed and scratched at the vibranium as your face went red from lack of oxygen.

Bucky had gained control before you lost conscious though, and looked absolutely devastated. You had tried to talk to him, but he left before you could convince him to stay. He didn't return for a weak, and by then the bruises on your neck were only a faint lining.

He had hugged you tightly the moment he returned and cried so hard you could feel every shudder like thunder. Every time he said sorry, you forgave him, and every time he called himself a monster, you would deny it. It took him a long while to really touch you again after that, when he did, it was always hesitant and gentle as a feather.

You were patient though, reassuring him with every hug and kiss until the bruises were completely gone. They never faded from his mind though, even when things went back to 'normal'.
