Midnights Curse

Prologue

Battle cries and swords clashing together rang through the air as feathers, blood, and fire flew across the battle field, it was the fifth war fought since the disappearence of Elenai one of the Queens from the Vampire realm. The war lasted for 12 hours and ended the same way as the last 4 battles with bloodied bodies and scorched earth, with ruffled feathers and howls fading into the night as no one won but many were lost. As each realm made their way back to their kingdoms in the far distance came the cry of a child being soothed by her mother as she listened to the fight die away, careful not to make a sound she stepped out of her hiding place into the chilling forest air. Making her way back to the little cottage built far into the Ever Green forest she looked down to her 2 year old child who walked silently by her side and her one year old, who wasn't as quite as she'd hoped she'd be, holding her in her arms she calmly hummed an old lullaby to her baby. "Athena darling please keep your hood on", Elenai instructed her 2 year old as she pulled the black hood over her daughter's silky white hair, "sorry mama", Athena whispered looking up at her mom with her almost white blue eyes. Elenai leaned down to her daughter's height and smiled at her "baby don't be sorry it's not your fault the realms can't see how beautiful and kind you are and love you for who you are remember its never you're fault and one last thing to remember do you know it?", Elenai kindly spoke to Athena as she replied "never trust anyone beside mama and sis", sighing in relief Elenai stood and continued walking in the cold crisp air of the forest with her two beloved children and the moon's light as her only comfort
