I stare at myself in the bathroom mirror I'm Jake dark eyed,olive skinned and black haired
But I don't know if I was meant to be jake a boy or a girl "Jake hurry up!"my best friend Tess shouts she has red hair and blue eyes she knows about my problem not the part about me having a crush on her though I run down the stairs she's taking me to some doctor who will tell me what to do.tell me my gender.

"Hmmmm"says the doctor after looking me over "news or bad news first?"

"Uhhh bad news?"Tess said

"Well " he said looking at me "you have 32 days to decide your gender or else you will die"

"What!"Tess says sitting straight up "how?"

"Well his mind is split his body is confused the brain controls you if it doesn't know why gender it is the body won't function and you will die"

Tess put her hands over her mouth "oh my god!"

We walked out and she hugged me "if you die I will slap you"

I chuckle "but I'm dead" "eh"she said shrugging

"We have 32 days to decide your gender"

I shrug if only it was easy pros and cons for both if I choose girl I could be in my crush Christopher Malcolm's arms but I will have to deal with all these girl problems stay boy I can hold my other crush Tess but deal with guy problems still.

School is the same I watch Christopher but this time he stares back with his piercing gray eyes
Then he looks away hmmmm.
