chillybabe giovanni samara charles. we became friends in eight grade when i was the new girl. giovanni was the first person to talk to me that day. she introduced me to a lot of things she liked and still does now; roller skating, musicals, dancing, acting, singing and even just music itself. she was the kindest and most generous girl i've ever met. and i just knew we were destined to be friends. she even continued to be my friend when i kissed her long term crush right in her face and ditched her for the in crowd. even through the darkest of times, giovanni was right by my side. when the world turned against me, she was right by my side. when i just needed even the slightest or hardest nudge, she was right by my side. no one could ever break us up. many of you have idols like michael jackson or elvis. frank sinatra. beyoncé. barbra streisand. whitney houston was hers but she was mine. she was the few people your parents tell you about to keep in your life forever. it was me and her, till death do us part. and tonight, that changes. this world was too cruel to have such a wonderful person in it so it wanted other cruel people to break her down. well, congratulations, you did it. but bad news, world, she's not going anywhere. kind people like her deserve the world and they deserve so much more than sick people. kind people like her deserve better. this one's for you, giovanni. 💜
