Maya's pov
Joe was acting strange when he arrived home last night. Something about him dealing with a shooting and having an excuse about him at S.T.A.R labs working with Dr.Wells. Like wow.

The next day, Iris and I were still working. I feel eyes staring on the side of my head, I look up to meet Iris. "So," she started.

"So?" I didn't make eye contact suddenly feeling stalked by my best friend. She always does this when wanting to talk about guys.

"So, I saw you and that guy talking," she gently took away my phone.

I sigh then turn to her, "Yup, I spilled my drink on him, that's all." She was about to say something until my phone rang. The ID caller showing Joe.

"Sorry got to go, crimes to solve and evidence to discover," she rolls her eyes saying 'this conversation isn't over' as I led my way out.

I walked over to the crimes scene which is in a pawnshop. I walk over to Joe to see him walking around the yellow tape that read "CRIME SCENE DO NOT CROSS". He notices I'm here with a shock face, "Dang you're quicker than your brother." He said in surprise.

I raise my eyebrows at him, "how is that surprising?" He stopped to think as he was about to say something then stayed silent. Barry walked in causing all of us to draw attention to him.

"Hey sorry I'm late," he sighed as I noticed he was out of breath. He's never late though...

He looked towards me then gave me a soft smile, me returning one. "Doing a little Fall shopping Mr.Allen?" I hear Captain say as I notice a tag on his coat. Joe quickly ripped it off before I can take a closer look.

Barry laughed, "Oh, heh, I was going so fast this morning I didn't even notice." I saw Joe hand him a pair of gloves saying 'yeah' to him.

Eddie walks over to Joe explaining what happened in the footage camera, making me walk towards my brother, "Hey, what's up with you today?"

I cross my arms as he looks at me, "Nothing just having a tiredly day," I saw a flash of guilt in his eyes making him look away quickly. I ignore it not wanting our conversation coming to an argument.

He puts his foot on the prints, stepping in each and every one of them. "Footage may only show one but it was six guys." He states as the 4 of us look at him, "Six sets of footprints. Six guns stolen.."

I think a moment before I realized, "That means we should be looking for a crew." I say as the 4 of them now look at me, "They're all the same size."

"Men's 10's, I guess," he started, "Just like you Captain. Not that you're a suspect, sir." Captain and Eddie both leave him with Joe and I.

After getting a cup of water I head back to where Joe and Barry are, "Until a few weeks ago, I believed the fastest man alive could run a mile in four minutes," Joe resumes, "not four seconds."

"I can do it in three." I see Barry smile. Run a mile in 3 seconds? How is that even possible? Wait, he said he can do it though..

"You haven't said anything to Iris or Maya, have you?" Joe asks.

He makes a face, "No, I made a promise. I keep my promises." Promise? Are they hiding something?

I walk out now for both of them to see, "What promise?" Both stay quiet realizing I heard their conversation, "And don't say anything to us about what?"

"Oh uh I got to run," Barry quickly heads out, leaving me with Joe.

Joe then looks at me, "What was that Eddie? You need me to help you?" He too walks away leaving me dumbfounded. They're definitely hiding something from me, and I'm going to find out what it is.

I stay at home while Iris and Barry are out. Of course I didn't want to be the third wheel knowing my brother is in love with Iris. Besides I wasn't really a 'going out' person.
