"One more thing, Mr. Giovanni. The machine works best when the body is asleep. I'm going to have to give you two shots. A sleeping shot and a paralyzing shot," he says before he pushes the button.
"Why two shots?" I ask, interested.
"The sleeping shot is to put you to sleep. The paralyzing shot is to keep you from killing me. They will only last for a couple minutes. Here's the paralyzing shot."
He inserts the needle into my neck. My body goes numb instantly.
"Okay. Try to lift your head at me to make sure it worked."
I try my best to lift my head, but I can't. No muscle in my body is working right now.
"Okay. The paralyzing shot worked. Here comes the sleeping shot. It will work after 1 minute."
He inserts the other needle into my neck. My eyelids instantly become heavy with sleep. This serum feels worse than the paralyzing shot.
"I'll see you after the test," he says as my eyes close.
