XII- Match + Other Stuff

Start from the beginning

"Yes. Now I'm at peace knowing that at least I'm one of your close friends, fella."

   "Yeah! You called me fella!"

"And why so happy all of a sudden?"

"Because I know of no greater honor," I say dramatically.

"Woah there, no need to get carried away,"

"I know, I'm just joking around."

   "Me too,"

"OK, so it was pretty fun talking to you, getting to know you better. I'll text you... maybe tomorrow, OK? But that's not a promise. I might forget. So, until then lass?"

"Yeah, that's cool. See you later."

And then I walk out of his bus. For about the third time, I go back to watch the show backstage. The Shield has just beat the Wyatts. I wish I could've stayed to watch the match. Oh, well.

After Joe's badass tough guy Samoan screams, and then the three-fist joining, they leave the same way they came in: through the crowd.

Almost instantly, my phone makes a sharp scary sound along with a vibration that's so scary, especially because I was focused on the show; that I jump out of my seat. Wow message from Jon. How did he text me that quick, though? He was just out there with Joe and Colby a few moments ago. But he's weird. And sneaky. Possibly a bit psycho, too. You know how that guy is. Strange.

I open his message. It says, did u see our win? And I respond, yeah. He says, did it impress you? I say, yeah, especially since the Wyatts are pretty tough to beat.

Next, Colby randomly texts me, Jon likes you. I'm gonna go talk to your sister though. Wish me luck :O text me later in case Jon doesn't get mad at me fast enough for beating him at telling you that he likes you. I'm just worried about Joe... who cares he's engaged. Tell Joe congrats! OK ttyl bff :).

I just stare puzzled at that text. OK, rephrase: every guy in the Shield is downright weird!

What? Why am I smiling at Colby's text? What a weirdo I am. Is it because now I know that Jon likes me? Because I sure as heck like him. In the way. Yes, like-like. I think Marina's gonna mock me now. She knows already, but still. And Natalya and Eva, must've already told the whole f**king women's locker room. I don't know.

**Marina's POV**

I am so happy because my sister is now officially a Diva! But now I'm just worried because Colby's coming to talk to me.

"Hey, Colby. What'd you wanna talk about?" I said, hoping to break the ice.

"I actually really want to be honest with you. Can I trust you with anything that might involve me?" he says.

   "Totally!"

"OK, so I'm thinking that maybe your sister told you, but I honestly doubt she'd tell."

   "What is it?"

   "I like you."

   "Like-like?"

   "Yes, I LIKE-LIKE YOU!"

"Shhh, don't say it so loud."

"And I also was wondering: how do you feel about me?"

   "Honestly, the same way."

"Really? You're not just saying that to mess with me?"

   "Nope, not at all."

He just pulls me into a random hug. "I was really hoping you'd say that," he says, and we both laugh.

"So that's what she was hiding from me on Tuesday!"

   "What?"

"On Tuesday, remembered when you called me?"

   "Yeah,"

"So, I told her, and she gave me this look as if she knew something."

"Of course she did, she's one of my best friends that isn't a guy, one that I can trust with stuff like that. Now that you say it, she did a really good job not telling anyone."

   "Yeah,"

"So how 'bout we go on a date tomorrow?"

"Sure, I like that idea a lot."

And then he randomly laughs. He's so random. But I like him that way.

"Why are you laughing?" I ask. I'm seriously worried. This is starting to look like one of MY laugh attacks. He's trying to tell me but he keeps laughing. He can't even START to tell me without starting to laugh. I ask again. He's still laughing. What is he laughing about?

"I- I told Gloria that Jon likes her and I don't know if he's barely trying to tell her or maybe she told him that he knows and I don't know if he's gonna strangle me," he bursts out between suppressed laughing. I then laugh because it's so funny.

Instantly, Colby's phone starts ringing loudly, scaring the crap out of both of us. "Oh, what is that?" he asks. "Oh, it's Jon. Sh*t!"

Colby slowly presses answer and Jon starts spitting out a bunch of foul language, like motherf**ker. At the end of the call, to which Jon hangs up, NOT Colby, he says thank you. We just have a 10-minute laughing session. But I really do wonder what's up with both my sister, and mostly Jon. Though I guess I shouldn't wonder about Jon, he's psycho anyway. And much more excelled in the art of being weird.
