Not All Angel's Have Wings

Chapter 4

I was searching for Abbie but then someone else caught my eyes, it looks like Avril…why is she sitting by herself? She looks like she wants to be invisible, I’ll go talk to her after getting my lunch. 

After I grabbed a slice of pizza for lunch I walked over to Avril and asked,

“Why are you sitting by yourself?” I asked

“Huh? Oh Austin it’s you, I didn’t see you. Sorry I was listening to music.” Avril said taking her earphones and placing them down on the table.

“It’s alright and I said why so lonely?” 

“Oh uh… I don’t like socializing with other people and- I think you should go back with the crew they are probably looking for you and so is Abbie.” Avril sighed

“No, come with me I will introduce you to the crew.” I said 

“No Austin I’m okay, Go have fun with them I’m not good at making friends so see you later.” Avril said standing up.

“Nope not a chance you are coming with me, now. I want you to have more friends besides me.”

“I do have friends Austin!”

“Really, name 1!” I looked at her in disbelief

“Alright, fine!” Avril gave up.

She got up and we walked over there to the crew and I introduced them to her.

“Aye guys, I want you all to meet Avril, my best friend.”

“Hey” Robert said 

“Aye” Alex said

“Sup” Zach said with a grin.

“Hi” Avril said quietly.

“Guys, Avril doesn’t have other friends besides me so please be friendly to her! I am going to find Abbie and I will be right back.” I said before I left.

*Avril’s p.o.v.*

I sat in the empty seat beside Zach. It was awkwardly silent… well for me.

“So Avril, how long have you been friends with Austin?” Alex asked.

“Uh… I-it’s a-already o-over a…a yea-ar.” I stuttered since I really didn’t know them.

“Hey look we might look tough and mean looking but you don’t have to be afraid of us, we just want to get to know you. We really want to be your friends.” Robert chuckled at the part where he had said about their looks.

“Okay, look I am really sorry it’s just… I have trouble making new friends at first. I’m anti-social that is what my parents say about me.” I sighed 

“It’s okay, we get it. But can you answer a few questions that we just want to know about you?” Alex asked 

“Okay.” I replied.

“What is your favorite color?” Robert asked.

“Blue.” 

“What is your favorite food?” Alex asked.

“Uh…next question please.”

“But you haven’t told us what your favorite food is!” Robert said.

“I don’t have one.” I replied making no eye contact.

“How can you not have one?” Zach asked with a shock tone in his voice.

“I just don’t.” I said while looking somewhere else.

“Oh okay then what about… what do you like to eat?” Robert asked.
