Josie's POV:
An other man in all white with blue gloves , which I have know learned is a doctor, comes in and a few other people. Three nurses and the doctor. They come over and mumble a few words to each other. Then two of the three nurses go and get a bed that is on wheels. They call it a gurney. They lift me up and put me onto the gurney and it is the first time I have got to see my skin. It is red and inflamed. Looking at it makes me hurt. Then my throat swells and the back of my eyes get hot. I start to cry, I must have more cuts or burns on my face because when the tears hit my face it feels as if my face has been set on fire. The doctor then gets the thin sheet that was covering me when I was on the bed and covers me up. Now that I have seen the burns the slight weight of the sheet hurts. They then wheel me out of the little room I have been staying in for the past couple of days out into the hall. It's the first time I have seen people other than my parents and the doctor and nurses. While we are going to wherever we were going they kept whispering things to each other over top of me. I couldn't really understand what they were saying but for some reason I was able to make out one word. Surgery. I started to panic, I've never had surgery before. I have all this pain and now they're wanting to give me surgery!! No I wont let them do this. I wan to scream but I don't want to cause a scene. So I try to speak
"where are we going?" Wow I was pretty proud of myself for that sentence.
One of the nurses must have heard me because she looked at me and said
"We are taking you to get surgery honey, but it will be ok. Promise."
We finally get to wherever we have been going and it is a small room with a table bed thing in the middle of the room. It has a lot of scary looking machines and a big bright light. The nurses take me off the bed and lay me on the table. They try to take of the sheet easily but it has kind of stuck to my open cuts and so they kind of have to tug it off. It hurts but the nurse said they are going to make me better, at least that's what my mom was saying. They pass a few more words and numbers that don't make sense. But the others must know what they meant because they started doing things and getting things every time the doctor yelled out something. They put a mask one me and the nurse told me
" This mask will help you deal with the pain." and it did.
I fell asleep in, at most, the next five minutes.
