Ch.1 mika. Waking up.

The loud ringing in my ears faded as I came to consciousness. I opened my eyes. A bright light shined into my eyes. I looked around. I was in this weird room. It smelled of disinfectant and hand sanitizer. There was a beeping noise coming from somewhere. The door opened revealing a tall, dark haired woman. She was in a tealish Blue outfit.

"Oh honey you're awake. I'll be right back." She said and left. What the fuck? She came back moments later with a man and blonde woman.

"Who are you? Where am I?" I asked confused.

"Oh my. What's your name sweetheart?" The blonde asked.

"Mika." I said confused.

"What's your birthday Mika?" She asked. Wait what is my birthday? Who are my parents? Why am I here? Why can't I remember?

"I-I don't know" I squeaked. "Why am I here? What happened? What is this place?"

They ignored me and kept working on machines and talking to each other.

"You have a few visitors. We'll get back to you soon." The man said and they left. Visitors? I looked around and then it hit me.

I'm in a hospital.

I can't remember anything but my name. Oh god.

"I can't believe she's awake! Oh my god our best friend is awake! I can't wait to see her!" Someone yelled.

"You and all of us mate. I thought she was going to die!" Someone else exclaimed. Shortly after that, four giants ran into my room.

"MIKA!" A boy with green eyes and neon pink hair yelled as he ran in, arms open wide. He engulfed me in a hug. The others followed suit. I sat there frozen. I don't know if it was shock or fear but it was something. I was utterly terrified. Who are these boys and why can't I remember?

"Mika? You alright?" A curly headed guy that had a bandana on said after they broke apart. I just stayed frozen, shaking as they all stared me down.

"Mika?" Pinky asked.

"H-how do you know my name?" I asked quietly after I unfroze. They all laughed.

"That's a funny joke Mika, but you got no one. When did you wake up?" Pinky asked smiling.

"Seriously. How do you know my name? Who are you?" I asked looking around. I was extremely scared to be honest. I was shaking. The boys faces slowly turned a lot less happy. All except pinky's.

"Uh man, take it easy. I don't think she knows. She can't..." a blonde dude with a lip ring trails off. Shock settling in.

"Awe cmon mate. Don't let her get you. Really you know who we are." Pinky laughed grabbing my hand.

"No. I don't." I said. I was beyond terrified at this point. I was shaking and my heart beat was going rapid. Thank god they took the monitor thing off. I'd probably blow it up right now.

"Look man. She's shaking like crazy. She can't act that good either. She doesn't remember us." The brunette said sadness evident in his voice.

"You really don't remember?" Pinky asked. Realization setting in

"No I'm sorry" I replied.

"you have to remember. Please." The curly headed bandana dude said.

"No sir. I'm sorry I don't remember." I looked at them. They all frowned. A nurse I'm assuming asked to see the boys out side.  They went out and left me in the room by myself. Who were they? Why were they upset? Why can't I fucking remember? A few moments later they came back in.

"Hey Mika, I know you don't remember and all but when this happened we were warned about possible amnesia. We didn't think it would happen but we decided to make a few things to keep you updated on what happened while you were out. We're going to add a bunch of stuff so maybe you'll remember. We're sorry we scared you. We'll bring the stuff by tomorrow but today lets just let you rest. Okay?" Lip ring said.

"Okay. Can I know your names?" I asked.

"Oh shit! Yeah! We forgot. Sorry. I'm Luke." Lip ring said.

"I'm Calum." Brunette piped in.

"I'm Michael." Pinky said.

"I'm Ashton." Bandana dude replied.

"Okay. Are you guys my friends or..." I trailed off.

"We're all best friends. We've known each other since year 9. You knew Michael even before that. You met Ashton at our first band practice. " he said motioning at the other boys. "You wanted to watch us practice. I begged you not to but you were persistent. We were best friends ever since." Calum said.

"Yeah. It was one of the memories you said you wouldn't ever forget. So what changed. Why forget us now? We not good enough?" Michael said defensively. Getting angry and standing up and getting in my face. Or at least trying to. Luke got up from beside me and caught him. Ashton and Luke took him outside to calm him down.

"I'm sorry Mika. Michael was the most hurt by this. He missed you so much. You two knew each other since year four. He loves you. N-not like love like girlfriend boyfriend love but best friend sibling love." Calum explained. I nodded.

"I'm sorry I forgot. I wish I remembered. I'm sorry I put you guys through this." I apologized.

"No it's totally okay. It wasn't your fault. We just missed you." He said

"If you don't mind me asking how long was I out?" I asked.

"6 months." He said

"6 months!?" I asked shocked. It felt like three seconds.

"Yeah. Oh don't worry about school. Me and Michael dropped out so you and Luke decided to go online." He explained "oh and your mum and dad will be here tomorrow. They had business trips that they couldn't skip."

"Okay. Thanks. I uh I know I don't know you but you know me. Can I have a hug?" I asked meekly.

"Any time Mika." He said wrapping his arms around me. After a few seconds we let go. Michael, Luke and Ashton came through the door.

"Mika I am so sorry. I just missed you. I was a jerk." Michael said as he came in.

"It's okay." I smiled.

"Can I have a hug?" Michael asked. I nodded and opened my arms. He engulfed me in a hug. Ashton and Luke hugged me one at a time after. The nurse said visiting hours were over. They left. I still had so many unanswered questions.
