That morning, Lilian agreed to go on a walk. Her mother constantly tells her to go outside to get fresh air, but Lilian prefers to spend her evenings finishing up her latest art pieces. She was currently working on a beautiful painting for her father's coffee shop and a lovely sketch for Miss. Portman, her neighbour. Lilian took a step outside, breathing in the cool summer air. Tree branches swaying ever so slightly. Miss. Portman, was sitting on her porch in her pink cotton sweater sipping her herbal tea. Everyone in the neighborhood knew the Portmans. They had three children, who were all in their teenage years; they used to babysit everyone on the block. That's why I love Pinewood Crest, because of the friendly, caring, and affectionate people. I grew up with them, I got to know them and they helped me become the person I am today. One of those people are Eleanora Ives.
"Hey Lilian, you're outside for once!" I looked up to see Eleanor yelling from her balcony. I rolled my eyes and smiled sarcastically.
"Wait up!" Eleanor exclaimed as she ran down the stairs as fast as she could.
A young teenage girl appeared in the doorway of the house across the street. She was average height, and had short curly light brown hair  that ended right below her ears. Most people at school knew her as the girl who always wore black and white chucks to school. The next thing I knew, she was right in front of me on her tall red bike that she had since sixth grade. Lilian and Eleanor were both fourteen years old, and were in the same class every year throughout elementary school. School really brought them together.
"What you up to? I thought you were working on your art." Eleanor asked.
"I haven't been outside for three days, I need a break." Lilian told her.
"I suppose that's true." Eleanor admitted.
