There comes a time in everyone's lives where we learn the truth. Sometimes, you discover who someone else is long before you ever find out who you are. More often than not, when that truth arises, we don't want to face it. It's human instinct to think "If I can't see it, it can't see me." When we're confronted by a nonphysical force we don't want to acknowledge, we believe if we ignore it, it'll go away, right? The majority of the human population has discovered the hard way that acting as though something doesn't exist does not mean it has stopped existing. You can spend your whole life refusing the presence of the truth, but it never becomes less true. The truth is always there, lurking in the shadows, awaiting a chance to be brought to light. It can set us free, cage us, or make us burn. We may be granted the wings to fly or the flames to suffer in. What is done with the truth is up to us. What is done with the lies is all on us. Every choice we make is a chance to grant ourselves salvation or send ourselves to hell. Every lie digs the hole we were born in a little deeper. Every truth is like the blood under our nails as we struggle to climb out. Every comment we make is another handful of soil raining down on us. A million and one emotions flow over you when the truth is admitted. An onslaught of guilt, joy, relief, sorrow, and feelings that cannot be describe wash over you.
