The palace we went to visit was decorated rich but with taste. By the number of tourists it was also very popular. Lucija was a excellent guide. She explained everything in an interesting way and waited patiently for us to investigate everything. Mark was holding my hand. He wasn't separated from me for a second. Ancient city walls were a simbol of liberty for Dubrovnik. These walls saved local people from the enemy in their war for independence. It looked majestic., powerful, simply exceptionally. Lucija told us a few legends as we were walking up and down the stairs. I asked her if she can take a picture of Mark and me. She smiled.

"Of course I can."

We sat next to eachother and he put his arm around me. We had matching nerdy Ray Ban sunglasses.

"Okay, say cheese."

We smiled and she took the shot.

"You both look perfect. You make such a beautiful couple" she stated smiling.

Mark smiled.

"So, the sightseeing is over. I can take you back to the city to show you where to buy souvenirs."

Mark interfered.

"First I'm taking you ladies to lunch. You must be hungry."

"Oh no. I don't want to get in your way. You two go ahead and enjoy" she said looking away.

I looked at her with my strict face on.

"Don't be silly. We enjoy your company. If we didn't we wouldn't call you in the first place."

I hugged her casually. Mark took us to a beautiful restaurant where we had an amazing lunch. Lucija told us her story. She has a daughter, Kara who is 3 years old. She payed for her education all by herself, working. I liked her even more when she told us that. She obviously was a great woman. Strong, loving, open and beautiful. She didn't let life ruin her good heart.

"I have to buy something for Anna" I said as we were leaving the restaurant.

Mark smiled at me.

"Of course you do."

"Oh, I almost forgot. I have something for you" Lucija said satisfied.

She reached into her bag and took out an envelope. I opened it and my eyes flared with joy.

"Oh God! The tickets! You got them! You are amazing! Thank you so much!"

I hugged her insanely. She curtsied modestly. Mark took his wallet and gave her a 500 euro bill.

"Oh no. That is just too much, the tickets were only 50 euros."

He looked at her strictly.

"I insist! I'm sure getting these wasn't easy. This is the least I can do" he said still holding the bill.

I nodded.

"Please, take the money. Buy something nice for you and your daughter. You deserve it" I said rubbing her shoulder.

She took the bill.

"Thank you so much. Have a great time tonight" she said smiling.

"We sure will" Mark winked.

I hugged her and Mark shook her hand. He put his arm around my shoulder as we were walking by the stands. I noticed one with straw hats.

"Will you buy me one?" I asked smiling.

"I can buy you all of them if you want."

I hit him on his shoulder.

"Don't be silly."
