It has been a whole year since I ran away from home, picked up a crew, stole a ship and became a pirate. Maria is now engaged to Vladimir, Becky is a moody young teenager and I am the captain of The Fallen Angel. The crew seem okay with having a seventeen year old female captain. I have met up with Jack a few times in Tortuga which is fun. He is a really nice guy, well, pirate. Jack has taught us a lot about being pirates. Like how to handle swords better, shooting targets and our footwork.

There is an island about one day away from where we are now; basically the middle of the Caribbean.

"Keep her steady, men! Make speed!" I shout as we encounter a storm. The ship is rocking like crazy and it's hard to control the wheel. I take out my compass to make sure we are in the right heading. Maria and Becky run up to me looking scared.

"Captain!" Maria shouts because the rain is heavy. "We should drop canvas! The storm is getting stronger!"

"Not just yet, Maria! She can hold a bit longer!" I suddenly lost control of the wheel. It spun so fast we turned off course. "Hard to starboard!"

We made it back to the right course and by then the storm had passed. We needed to restock our supplies and there is an island ahead. "Drop the anchors!"

Maria, Vladimir and I reach the shore in the longboats and are met by a lot of men in uniform. They looked rather angry.

"Excuse me, but what do you think you are doing?" A man in a white powder wig asked.

"Getting naked. What the hell do you think we're doing? Obviously we're going to get supplies." I replied. The white wig guy stepped towards me and grabbed me. I tried to break free but his hold was tight.

"I don't think so. You three will come with us." A few other men grab Maria and Valdimir.

"Who are you?" I ask, still trying to get away from the strange man.

"Lord Cutler Beckett."

"And where the fuck are you taking us?"

"Now, now, love, is that any way for a lady to behave?" He smirks and tightens his hold on my arm.

"I am no lady. I'm a pirate." I spat, causing Beckett to chuckle.

"I seriously doubt about twenty men would take commands from a woman. What is your name?"

"Captain Rose Petrova." He gasps slightly and stops walking. The other uniformed men give eachother weird looks.

"You are the famous Rose Petrova?" He asks, looking a little scared.

"Yes, and I would appreciate it if you would let go of me and my friends."

"Oh, I don't think so." We walk up to a huge mansion. The door opens and I am dragged inside, Maria and Vladimir behind me. We are pulled into what looks like an office, with maps covering the walls. There is a massive fire place with a metal rod resting just inside it. Beckett shoves me on to a chair and I notice Maria and Vladimir aren't here.

"What the hell are you doing?" I ask, really pissed at this point.

"Are you aware, Miss Petrova-"

"Captain! Captain Petrova! Honestly, how dumb are you?" He glares at me.

"Well, then, Captain Petrova, are you aware that you and your crew are the most wanted pirates in the Caribbean?" He sat at his desk and poured a drink.

"What are you implying?"

"Do you know what happens to those convicted of piracy?" He asks and has a sip of his drink.

"I assume they are hanged?"

"Correct. And you have been convicted of piracy, Captain Petrova. You will be branded as a pirate and quite possibly hanged." Shit. I really fucked up my life. I sat there, shock drawn across my face. Beckett walks over to me and pulls me off the chair, dragging me towards the fire place. "Now, Captain Petrova. You have three options. One, you can be hung at dawn. Two, you can be branded as a pirate and work for me. Or three, you can be my wife and I won't brand or kill you. The choice is yours but I must say I pefer number three." What is going on inside this sick bastard's head?

"What is to become of my ship and crew?" He looks out the window.

"It seems your ship is gone. Along with your crew."

"What? No. They wouldn't leave me here. They obey me." He laughs a bit.

"Silly girl. They are gone. Now, which option will it be?" He asks, taking the metal rod from the fire.

"I choose the third option. But first, what will you do to Maria and Vladimir? They are here too."

"I shall not harm them," He suddenly grabs my arm and presses the end of the red hot branding iron to my skin, just above my wrist. I scream. The pain doesn't seem to end. He finally pulles the iron away and I fall to the ground clutching my arm.

"You sick bastard! You said you wouldn't brand me if I agreed to marry you!"

"I lied. You will become my wife and with that branded on your arm, no one else will want you if you run away," He smirks and I look down at my arm. There is a huge 'P' branded on my skin and blood is running down my arm.

"You must be mad if you think I will marry you now! I will work for you but I refuse to marry you!" I pull out my pistol and aim it at him.

"You may be the most feared pirate in the Caribbean, but that doesn't mean I won't kill you, Petrova." He picks up a dagger off his desk and points it at me. "Now, chose carefully. Marry me, or work for me. I would prefer both."

"Oh, how wonderful! I get a bloody choice now!" I yelled and got a glare from Beckett, "Fine! Fuckin' fine! I'll work for you, but I swear, should you hurt Vladimir or Maria, I will kill you. Do you understand?"

"Very well played indeed, Miss Petrova."

"Captain Petrova!" I storm out the door to find Maria and Vladimir waiting for me. For some reason there are no guards around. "We must leave now. That man is bloody insane!"

We run through endless hallways and finally make it to the front door. I carefully open it, and we're free. As we made it to the docks, I see a ship passing by, and a man on it who looks oddly like...

"JACK! CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW!" I scream at the top of my lungs, getting weird looks from Maria and Vladmir. He sees me, then yells something at his crew.

After a few minutes, Jack arrives in a longboat, with Becky? I must be going insane!

"Becky? How are you here? Jack? What is going on?" I ask, feeling slightly lightheaded.

"Well, you see, love," Jack starts, "your dear sister here was making her way back from the way she came, when I spotted her in a longboat, struggling to row it. I offered her a ride, which she accepted. She told me that your crew led a mutiny against you, so she was forced off the ship too. Fortunately, I spotted you on this bit of land and here we are." He grinned, proud for explaining all that without mucking up. What? Maria and I exchanged looks, and got into the longboat. "Anyway, Rose, how did you end up here?"

"Needed to get supplies and ran into a 'Lord Cutler Beckett'" I told him, emphasizing the last part.

"He didn't brand you, did he?" I rolled up my sleeve and held out my arm to him. His facial expression immediately changed from curiosity to anger. "Rose, I swear on my life, if I get a chance, I will kill that evil bastard."

"Can I help?"

"Of course." He started to row us to his ship. When we got there, the crew didn't look amused about the fact two more females were aboard the ship.
