The whole world lit up in a wonderful mix of colors right before her eyes. A spectrum of different colors exploded on the sky creating a beautiful view from one of the most elite clubs in the city. The exposure to such beauty made everyone forget about the harsh downpour of rain.

Nothing mattered in this moment.

All the problems and the chaos were to surface in the morning with a raging hangover to remind them of how shit life was. But for tonight, all the shit was stored in a box. Only to be opened in the morning after the excitement and promises for the new year washed away.

With blazing chocolate eyes, the redhead looked towards the stormy colorful sky. A grin found it’s way to her face at the beauty, soon turning into a full blown smile. Tugging on her face, a boy looked at her with green eyes adorned with a wicked smirk. He pulled her in for a quick kiss for traditions but with love and promise. She snaked her hand onto the nape of his neck, tugging for more and closing in the space between them.

The rain slowly picked up with more force, drenching the couple’s clothes and soaking their hair. The fiery red head pulled away from the green eyed boy with a small laugh, “Happy New Year’s, love” she stated with a smile. He pulled her in for a quick peck followed by her whispers of “I love you” in between a clash of teeth.

Suddenly, a brunette ran into the couple in full force with a goofy smile and red cheeks. “Happy New Year’s, Georgina and Peterson!” she said giggling and pulling the couple toward her. Her smeared red lips planted a sloppy kiss on Georgina’s forehead.

The green eyed boy looked with wide eyes toward the brunette, “It’s just Peter, Fleur.” A weary smile at Fleur’s hand on his chest turned into a open mouth expression. In her drunk behavior, Fleur grasped the collar of Peter’s dress shirt, tugging him towards her red pouty lips. Georgina intervened with a push on Fleur’s shoulders to take a few shaky steps back.

“Wait, Georgina! I didn’t give Peterson a kiss.”

Fleur tugged on Georgina’s hands walking towards Peter with a full on giggle. As Fleur kept tugging Georgina’s hands off, Georgina kept pulling Fleur towards her.

“I think you have given enough kisses for the night”, Georgina laughed at Fleur’s hand reaching out to Peter. “Come on, let’s go. You're done for the night.”. Like a scolded child, the brunette allowed Georgina to take her by the shoulders away from Peter, towards the rooftop exit.

People were exiting as the rain picked up and the downpour was heavier than before. The gloomy mood seemed to have fizzled out the new years mood on the rooftop but, certainly not that of the club.

Georgina held onto the railing in one hand and onto Fleur’s arm in the other as she navigated the steps. Peter kept a warm hand on the curve of Fleur’s back, as he followed behind the pair of girls. Walking further down, the neon strobe lights shunned brightly on them putting Fleur in all her drunk stupor, into a daze. She stood dazed in one step as Georgina tugged her arm, trying to get her to pay attention. With a tug that felt more like a yank to her arm, Fleur missed a step of the clear minimalistic stairs. The drunk tumble lead to what resembled a domino effect. Georgina’s side pressed the railing as Fleur fell forward with her knees buckling. With open arms, she pushed a guy foward and the chaos continued further down.
