•Maddy's POV
We walked out of house and saw a beaver. I smiled at him. He was after all my friend.
Peter reached his hand out and clicked his tongue.
"Here, boy."
Mr Beaver looked at him.
"I ain't gonna smell it."
Peter moved his hand and I giggled.
"Hello, Mr Beaver."
He bowed before me.
"Princess Maddy."
He then turned to Lucy.
"Lucy Pevensie?"
He pulled out a hanky. Lucy smiled.
"Hey, that's the hanky I gave to Mr Tummnus."
Mr Beaver nodded.
"He gave it to me before they took him."
I looked sadly at Lucy.
"Is he okay?"
Mr Beaver looked around.
"Further in."
I smiled and pulled Lucy with me but Susan stopped us.
"What are you doing?"
Peter looked at her confused.
"He said he know the faun."
Susan looked wide eyed at her older brother.
"He's a beaver, he shouldn't be saying anything!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Sue, he is fine. I know him. Let's go."
Mr Beaver looked at us.
"Is everything alright?"
I nodded as Peter answered.
"We were just talking."
Mr Beaver nodded.
"Better save that for the safer corners."
Lucy looked at her siblings.
"He means the trees."
I nodded and we followed Mr Beaver to his house.
Mrs Beaver walked out and looked at us wide eyed.
"Oh, princess Maddy, hello. I didn't think I would live to this day. Why didn't you give me ten minutes warning?"
Mr Beaver smiled.
"I would give you two weeks if I thought it would help."
Lucy and I giggled at that and then walked in. I sat next to Lucy, Peter next to me and then Susan. Edmund standing behind us.
Peter looked at Mr Beaver.
"Can we do something to help Mr Tummnus?"
Mr Beaver nodded as I zoned out thinking about The Aslan's How. Was it the same as before? Was it different? I didn't know.
I was pulled back when Peter stood up.
"I'm sorry but we can't."
Lucy looked at him.
"We have to help him."
Peter shook his head.
"I'm sorry, Lu. It's time for five of us to go home."
I shook my head.
"I'm not going, Peter."
Peter looked at me.
"Fine, Ed? I'm going to kill him."
Mr Beaver shook his head.
"Maybe you won't have to. Has Edmund been to Narnia before?"
Peter tried to run after Edmund but I took his hand.
"No. She's wants all five of us. Aslan is the only one who can help us now."
Peter nodded.
"Then take us to him."
We run from Jadis's wolves through Mr Beaver's tunnel. As we got out, fox waited there for us. He said he was helping my father.
"I have an idea."
We were sitting on tree. I looked at Peter behind me. I was worried for fox. Peter had the same fear in his blue eyes.
As wolf bit the fox and he whimpered I turned around and put my head in Peter's chest.
"North. They run North."
As wolves run we got down and I run to fox.
Mrs Beaver helped him get better. And then he left. Tomorrow we cross the Frozen River.
