13 Years After the Fact

When I was but four years old, I tripped an old family friend. For the next thirteen years, he was perfectly fine with it. Then he decided that he wanted to press charges.

My mom went down to city hall, where he worked, but not to talk to talk to him; she had to renew her drivers license first. For some reason, she had to take this weird little indoor monorail to that side of city hall, and you had to pay to get on it. Luckily, that guy I tripped was still nice to my mom, and gave her free access to the monorail. I was left to wait for her right by the monorail with my cousin, RadPanda870 .

As soon as my mom was out of sight, cousin and I launched into action. See, we were spies on a mission: save my twin sister from this guy. In an attempt to get revenge on me, he had kidnapped her and was keeping her in his office, which, conveniently, was right next to the monorail. We knew that he wasn't in his office right then, so we tried the door handle. Unfortunately, it was locked. We tried the bobby pin trick, but then, the guy's wife came up. We expected to be told on, but the guy's wife felt that what her husband was doing was wrong, and agreed to help us.
