"Dude that gig was seriously sick!" Pete shouts over the loud roaring of the crowd still stirring outside.

"Yeah man it was!" Andy replies yelling slightly, scratching the inside of his still ringing ears. Being the drummer makes it hard for him to really hear a hint of anything after shows even with earplugs.

This was the last show touring for Mania, not to mention Patrick's 34th birthday as well, the fans were incredible. Many signs were held high above heads that read variations of "Happy birthday Pattycakes!" As an extra surprise Pete riled up and convinced the whole crowd to start singing a horribly off key but nonetheless beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday.

Unable to stop his tears Patrick began crying. This show marked their end. Him and his wife along with their new born baby were going to be mostly left to their own devices.

"Yeah I can't believe everyone sang for Patrick! Hey dude-" Joe's words are cut off as he turns around to look for Patrick. He didn't see him and hesitated to speak, "Uhh where's Patrick?" Joe says to Andy, Pete, and the rest of the straggling crew members still milling around. Andy shrugs and Pete runs back out to the venue stage and across to the right wing where the singer might have exited.

The crowd had just quieted down, as much as a full arena could anyways, but the sight of the short bassist wound their cogs again. Pete waved meekly to them and continued to the other side. His small footsteps only turn the heads of a few strangling fans. He bursts through the door looking left and right, he decides on the latter and goes right for his purple clad boy.

There's a burning in his lungs and an aching in his legs as he still can't find Patrick. Pete feels like he's lapped the venue 5 times by now and still to no avail.

"Dude he probably just went back to the tour bus he was saying before the show his throat hurt so he's probably asleep." Joe says in a small lisp, he waved Pete to follow him out in hopes of reassuring the kid who's now coated in sweat and pure disdain.

"We were supposed to go out! It's his birthday!" Pete presses on the verge of tears hangs his head low in defeat.

With a heavy heart and even heavier feet Pete stops his protests and goes back to the tour bus with Joe, Andy following silently in toe.

Before Pete goes to the tour bus he says he's going to stop by their green room, Joe gives him a weary eye but lets him wander off anyways. He wants to grab his lyric book and coat. It may only be April but snow still sprinkles from the sky, littering the ground, a soft bone cold padding protecting the meek earth.

Taking more steps closer to the green room he hesitates slower when he hears soft sobs escaping from under the door, a single stream of light leaked through indicating someone was for sure in there.

He reaches for the handle with his right hand and brings his left up to the door, he raps it three times softly. The crying stops. The warehouse venue seemingly deserted of all life, but this one sad form behind this closed trap door. And Pete can't but help to be compelled to help whoever this may be.

Hearing feet scooting softly on the cement he backs away slowly and the unlatching of the large metal door echoed softly off the white signature painted brick walls. A single ghost light carves the features of the short blond boy in front of Pete. Tears stain his pale face along the parts that are swollen red from crying.

Pete knew back in his mind, in his heart of hearts that this person very well could be his missing pal.

"H-hey, Trick is that you?" Pete croaks out, his voice still hoarse from his earlier screams and shouts.

There is no response as the boy attempts to slam the door shut on his friend but Pete is quicker and shoves his foot in the way, being crushed slightly but enough that he can still push the door open.
