Chapter 1

Chapter 1

"Selena, Honey, time to get up." I reluctantly pull my eyes apart and sigh to myself. The silk sheets hug my body as I snuggle further down into the warmth. Tomorrow is the day, my 19th birthday. The day all wolves find out where they belong. However today is the ceremony of the sky. As I begin to sit up, the light shining through the curtains blinds me but brings an almost calming heat with it. Turning to the left I pull my legs from the warm covers and place my feet on the cold wooded floor. I stand up while rubbing my eyes and walk over to the door and head downstairs.

"Breakfast is on the table, do enjo... Jarred! Stop and leave some for your sister!" I hear the all to familiar call from my mother to my brother. I take a sit next to them and begin to eat. Now most families would talk while eating but not mine, we are all so busy stuffing our faces that we don't have time to talk. I look around the table, noticing my brother staring back at me. He knows today is the day.

After breakfast I get up to do the dishes but quickly told to leave it by my mother, Charia. Just as I open my mouth about to complain a loud bang of the door makes us all jump.
"Hey Wolfies! It's me!" I recognise the voice instantly and run to her.
"Georgie! I missed you!" I almost scream in her ear as she laughs and spins me around in a hug.
"I'd miss me too but it's today!!" She screams back, smiling brightly. I look at Georgie and begin to think about what will happen later. Georgie is a Delta in the pack. She's not high at all but defiantly not near the bottom. I'm worried about what rank I shall be. My wolf growls playfully at me. I know I shouldn't worry and my wolf already knows and seems content but I'm worried people will look at me differently.
"Moon Goddess time to give my friend back now!" Georgie snaps me out of my daze while waving her hand in front of my face, making me giggle. "Come on, we gotta make you look hot for you mate and baby I need some time!" She grabs my hand while dragging me upstairs to what I can only assume is my makeover.

2 hours... 2 hours I have spent in this chair as Georgie does my hair, chatting about her mate and she hasn't even started on my make up! I'm gonna be here for ages!!
"Done!" Georgie shocks me and I laugh as I look at myself in the mirror.
"No way that is me." I trace my fingertips over my cheeks in complete amazement that my best friend could transform me like that, but my hand is quickly swatted away.
"Hey don't mess it up!" Georgie tuts as she heads down stairs, I follow suit.

Time flew quickly and before I knew it, it was time to go.
"Come on wolfie, let's find out where you belong in the world." Georgie smiles and wraps her arms around me. "Don't worry." She whispers into my hair before pulling away. As we pull up at the pack house I feel my stomach drop. As the car slowly grinds to a halt I take in a deep breath and open the door to be met with the alpha and Luna.
"Selena, the time has come." Luna Marie smiles at me holding out her hand which I take gently.
"Thank you Luna, I'm ready to know my place." I curtly nod my head to the Alpha and make my way into the hall.

"Selena all you have to do is cut your hand, place it over this, and wait for the moon goddess to come." Luna explains behind me as I walk over to a marble bowl and knife. I close my eyes, breathing deeply as I pick up the knife and hold it to my left hand. I press the cold blade into my skin and wince slightly at the pain. Placing the knife back down, I hold my hand above the bowl and wait.

It seems like hours has passed as I look over my shoulder at the Luna to see a worrying sight. I see the Luna staring back at me in shock. I look down at my hand to find it has completely healed. No mark, no scab, just fresh skin unharmed and pure.
"Luna? What does this mean?" I mumble.
She gasps and bows her head down, mumbling.
"It's a pleasure to meet you."

Hey everyone, I know this is officially chapter 1 but really it's just a prologue so apologies for it being so short. I really hope you enjoy. I am planning to update 2 times a week however work may interfere with this. I have the whole story planned out and don't worry I can assure you, you have not seen this story line before.

I will edit chapter once a few more are out but for now I hope you enjoyed and until next time.
