This, my dear amigos, is the lost ramblings of a confused NRI (non resident Indian) who is now back in India from abroad for completing her studies. This is just something I started to write...You may not like it..but whatever....read at your own ri...
First and foremost the medical student mentioned above is me..
My life is just crazy. I spent almost my whole life outside India and I don't have anybody around me who understands me or my style of talking.. I have completely given up on having a best friend. I can't even remember the last time I had a best friend. I think it was 5 or 6 years since I had a best friend.
So as I mentioned above I'm an Indian and no I don't know Hindi coz I'm a South Indian. Also, NO.. I don'tlikespicyfood on account of having spent my childhoood and teen years abroad in Saudi Arabia.
My favourite kind of food is Italian but there is not single Italian restaurant to be found in Kerala (my state in India. India has 28 states and 7 union territories. Kerala is at the southern tip of India.)
Even if I happen to find a restaurant that serves spaghetti it'll so out of the range that's payable by a college student. My favourite Italian item lasagne... I've given up hope of ever finding a restaurant that serves it.
And the worst part. .. when I tell someone I like Italian food, they're like, "Oh, so your favourite food is pizza"
Aaaarrrghhh.... Is pizza the Italian food that exists!?! If real Italians hear you refer to pizza as Italian food they will slap you up and down.
But thank god for small mercies.. at least my second fav cuisine which is Chinese is cheap and affordable even though the menu is really limited. (There's only noodles, fried rice and manchurian)
I could go on and on about how shitty my life is but this is all for today. I thought I'll keep it light by jus telling you my food troubles. See ya tomorrow wattpad.. ;-)
