Lost

Chapter four

   "What was that?" I heard a voice from behind me. "Oh no" I mumbled to myself.

I turned around to see Jack standing in my doorway. "What was that?" He said again.

"Just a stupid drawing" I said repositioning myself on my bed. "It didn't look like a stupid drawing to me." He said with a little anger in his voice.

"Well it is just a stupid drawing, why are you in my room?" I asked trying to change the subject. "Dad wants to know if you want anything" he said.

"Dad? When did you start calling him that?" I asked. "I've always called him that you've just been to" he stopped for a moment then said "well he wasn't downstairs in ten minutes for dinner"

Jack then turned around and walked out. I let out a sigh of relief then grabbed my notebook and quickly closed it, hiding it behind my dresser.

I then walked downstairs to see Jill setting up the table, Jack sitting down, and my dad bringing in the food. They sat down and all looked at me.

Dad gestured for me to sit. "Oh great he wants us to eat as a family" I said to myself before sitting down.

Jack kinda looked at me the whole time. I couldn't help but feel like he saw the drawing and he knows exactly what it is. "Scarlet?" My father said.

      I looked up at him not saying anything. "I know you don't want to talk to me right now, but school is starting back tomorrow, and Jack will be going to your school now."

     He paused then went on "and I was hoping you would help Jack out, you know show him the ropes."

      I looked at Jack then back at my dad "sure" I said. "Sure?" My dad said kinda surprised. "Yeah sure" I said.

     I didn't mean it but I also didn't want to start another argument. I rubbed my head and my dad said "are you ok?" "Yeah just a headache" I said. "I think I'm going to just go to bed" I got up and walked to my room closing and licking the door behind me.

     I woke up and quickly got ready, putting on some high waisted jeans and a sweatshirt. I grabbed Logan's clothes that he gave me when I stayed with him and shoved them in my bag.

     My dad dropped us off sense I only had my permit, so I couldn't drive yet. I saw Logan in the school parking lot next to his car. He was talking to some of his friends along with Jasmine and Kelly.

I started walking over to them reliving Jack was falling close behind. "Scarlet!" Jasmine said when she saw me. She walked over and gave me hug.

I handed Logan his clothes and he through them in his car. "What?" He said. I rolled my eyes at him as he tightly hugged me.

"Oh and he must be your brother" Kelly said in a flirty way. I gave her a weird look then said "step-brother and his names Jack"

Jack gave her a small smile and she returned one to him. The bell rang and we walked into the school. I pointed Jack to his first classroom then walked to mine with Jasmine and Kelly.

"So like is Jack seeing anyone?" Kelly asked. Jasmine and I both stopped walking and looked at her. "What" she asked turning around. "Are you ok?" We both asked started to walk again.

"Yes I am" she said kinda annoyed "well then why are you asking if Jacks single?" Jasmine asked. "Because he's cute" she said smiling to herself.

"Ugh please don't say he's cute around me it makes me sick." I said holding my head. She rolled her eyes as we walked into the classroom.
