Chapter 22

One day I was going to loose my mind worrying over her!

It was frustrating, to be near her yet to be far. Never in my life have I needed anyone. Maybe an exception to it was my long dead mother. I always wanted her near me but never to the extent of wanting Neveah. She was becoming a very crucial part of my existence. I don't know for how long I can go on without telling her what she meant to me, what she meant to my pack, my family.

She was still snuggled to Gregory when I spoke, "Sabrina, Ben you can leave and remember what I warned you about and make sure that you follow it." I gave my best pointed look in Sabrina's direction. I could fell the fear radiate from her and her brother but there was something else, a sense of confidence in them, even though it was small, I could fell it. And this felt absolutely wrong.

"Come on Neveah, we gotta go study Chemistry. You both are free to hang out here or in the game room second door from right." I mentioned to Melissa and her boyfriend.

They both nodded and proceeded to the game room while I took Neveah to mine.

"Welcome to my humble abode."

"Your room is almost the size of half of my house, so there is nothing humble in here." Neveah wouldn't be Neveah if she didn't comment on something every once a while.

"Not my fault Neveah." I politely replied.

"Yeah, yeah, now let's get started."

We sat down on my bed and we went through the plot for the project and divided the work accordingly. I realized that Neveah made sure that most of the important work would be done by her while the less important topics were to be covered by me. I know that my grades weren't exuberant but I wasn't that bad.

Looks like I will have to prove that fact to her!

Neveah's Pov

We spent a while in his room discussing the project. After some time, he got bored so we stopped studying Chemistry for today. I walked down to the hall form upstairs while Easton said that he will join me in some time.

When I went down, Melissa and Xavier were there. Peter and Georgy weren't there.

"Hello, Neveah. What were you and Easton upstairs in his room?" Xavier asked while wiggling his eyebrows.

Ever since I found out what he is, Xavier behavior towards me has changed. He no longer makes unnecessary digs at me and leaves me alone for most part of the time.

"Oh, we were discussing how hot you are, how smart and cute you are. Easton seemed particularly fond of you." Xavier playfully scowled at my reply while Melissa giggled.

"So are you telling me that you aren't fond of me?" Xavier put his hand over his heart and looked at me with a sad expression.

"Sorry sweetie, I'm not into gay men."

"Oh sweetheart, I'll turn straight if I get to be with you."

"Lemme think." I then proceeded to scan him from top to toe lingering on his shoes. Man, they were nice! "Nah, I'll pass."

"Ouch, you broke my heart my fair lady." By this time Melissa was laughing and I was smiling.

"What is going on here?" Easton's voice boomed right into my ears. The idiot was standing behind me. O

"Oh nothing, just trying to turn Xavier straight."

We all just laughed for some time. Peter and Georgy came in after some time with very serious expressions on their faces.

"Hello dear, are you staying for dinner?"

"I'm not sure, let me just call Ma and ask."

"Sure sweetie."

I went to the corner of the room and called Ma. It was Brian who answered the phone. "Hey I'm at the Dale residence, they want me to have the dinner here, so can I ?"

"What are you doing in his house," was Brian's instant reply which was expected.

"Chemistry project."

"Fine, but be back by ten." I checked the watch and it was eight forty five. That gave me enough time.

"Alright. Bye. Love you."

"Love you too kiddo."

Dinner went smoothly. We all said our goodbyes and I reminded Easton to do Maths work.

I reached home at dot ten, Brian was outside on the porch probably waiting for me.

"Why are you outside?"

"Because I can be." I gave him a 'you really want me to believe that ' look.

"Alright I was just waiting for you." I just smiled at Brian and we both went in.

Once we reached in I said, "I'm going to bed. Tell Ma I love her." Me still hadn't returned.

"Sure kid, goodnight." And kissed my forehead.

Once I went to my room, I changed into pjs and curled up on the bed waiting for sleep to come.

Just before I drifted off, I heard Easton's voice.

"The filthy human is my mate, mine, the future Luna of this pack."

Okay a lot of people have commented highlighting some parts of the story. The highlighted part can only be seen on the mail, not in the comments section. I can't understand which part anyone has higlighted and it be better if you just type the start and the end of the highlighted part. I mean what's the point of highlighting if I can't see it. Wattpad can be annoying sometimes.....
