Nightmares

I've been having nightmares

It doesn't seem like it at first,

But as it continues, it gets worse

I've been having nightmares

They muddle in my mind,

Tangle and intertwine

I've been having nightmares

About the thing I've done wrong,

I should have known it all along

I've been having nightmares

They haunt me throughout the day,

Make my body feel as if it's withering away

I've been having nightmares

And they'll never go away,

They've rooted and are here to stay
