Layla's POV
I've been in this orphanage for about as long as I could remember . I'm 10 by the way and I hope I will have a real family soon.
" Ms. K?"
Ms. K- "Yes?"
Layla- " May I go penny board?"
Ms. K- " Fine but be back by noon you little ugly girl or something unimaginable will happen to you "
I gulped as I walked out the door. She has already done so much to me that has been unimaginable. She has hurt me in so many ways emotionally and physically I still have scars in my side from one certain time I accidentlly dropped some laundry. As I always penny boarding about a hundred feet or so from the orphanage. I bumped into this guy . Actually, 6 guys.
"Sorry" the tallest one said
" it's fine " I replied
As I skated away I started thinking about the group of boys walking towards the orphanage. Oh great it's almost noon I better skate back now I skated back in about 5 minutes just as the grandfather clock in the kitchen got noon. Now I have to do the dishes and fold the laundry before 11:30 I better get working I start working on the dishes since I was closer to the kitchen than the laundry room. When suddenly April, the preppy girl that has her bed downstairs starts screaming.
"what are you screaming. About this time??" I ask her
" Duh O2L is here!!"
I have no clue who this o2l people are but I guess I'll find out. When, 6 boys walked in. The same ones from the park. Ms.K the. Walked in and yelled at me
" They want a girl 9-11 years old , brown hair and likes pizza. "
Well I don't know what 'pizza' is but I did fit the other ones!
" Layla get in there!" She barked.
Me, April, and a girl named Emmy all lined up against a wall, while the boys decided which one they should interview first. Of course, April was first because she was practically bouncing off the walls with excitement after she came out, she whispered to me
" Good luck against me" the. She flipped her hair and waited till the boys announce their decision. Emmy went in next and cake back with her head down. Now it's my turn when I went in the room I could feel all the anxiety from them the first question from one of the boys was
" Do you like pizza?"
I responded " Well I have never had pizza so..."
The next boy , which seemed to be the one in charge said " alright tell us about yourself Layla. "
I said " Well, I like penny boarding and I would like to try some on e this pizza all of you talk about, and yea I guess that's a peek into my life right now. "
The boy in charge said " alright you can go back and we will come out shortly with or decision. "
"Thanks" I replied as I walked out to where April and Emmy were sitting
