"I'm telling you Jack, there's a huge fucking chance aliens exist!" Mark gushed, waving his hands as he spoke. "The universe is always expanding, sooner or later we're gonna find a planet with life on it! Kepler-"

"If aliens even exist, will they even like us?" Sean refrained from chewing on his pen, his homework barely started. "I mean, I'm safe here since all extraterrestial world dominations happen there at the U.S."

"Okay true, " Mark takes off his glasses, rubbing an eye. "Man, it's nearly midnight."

"Jesus, go to sleep Mark!"

"Okay, okay! Last question - what would you do if you met an alien?"

Sean shrugged. "Depends on the circumstances. But most of them start with a Holy fuck, an alien! or something like that, I guess? Wait are they gonna speak English?"

Mark shrugged. "Probs."

"I'll ask why they're here though," The Irish boy chewed on his lip. "But I'll mostly panic."

🌠

It was three hours after the video call when Sean was violently woken up with a bright beam directly invading his eyeballs. The teenager was scrolling through his Instagram when God suddenly decided to shine a fluorescent lightbulb through his naked window.

"What the fuck?"

Realistically, a person in his situation would run to their dorm mates and call the police. But Sean hesitantly walked over to the window, squinting as his eyes tried their best to cooperate. He shrieked when his hands touched something soft and warm, heart lodging in his throat as he jumped backwards.

He managed to see a pair of blue eyes and silver hair before something hit the floor of his room. Panic slapped him clear in the face when he realized whoever that was climbed inside.

"S-Stay back!" He warned, hand whipping to whatever weapon he could use. "I got a lava- a l-lava lamp! And I'm not afraid to knock your fucking lights out!"

He heard someone's sharp inhale and waved the lava lamp his brother got him. The light finally melted away, as if sucked into a tiny vaccum. Sean realized it came from the pale, lanky man's watch, and Mark's words rang in his ears.

"What would you do if you met an alien?"

Well, true to his words he panicked. He gripped the lava lamp. The stranger looked as shaken and terrified as he was.

"Why- W-Why-" Sean cleared his throat, trying to look tough. "Why are you here?"

He opened his mouth but no sound came out. He rolled his blue eyes, as if this was something expected to happen. He fidgeted with his translucent watch, Sean flinching when it let out a tiny beep.

"My name is Felix," The stranger gestured to himself. "This is a pre-recorded message, by the way, because I'm guessing my body would be hella screwed up after The Transfer."

Sean furrowed his eyebrows. "The wha-"

The alien held his hand up. Wait. "As cliché as it sounds, the world is ending sooner than you all think."

"What?!" Felix jumped slightly at the sound, surprised by how loud he was.

"It's a known fact that you humans are ruining planet 348, or Earth as you call it. It'll only be a matter of time before it decays and di- dies." The watch gave two quick beeps. The pre-recorded Felix rushed as if someone was right behind him. "I was sent here to save it."

"I-"

"And you have to help me, Sean McLoughlin."
