Chapter 8 - The Plan

As me, Lewis and the girls ran Charlotte and Dr. Denmon were right behind us. Charlotte grabbed my arm.

'You should've left Lewis alone when I told you to' she said.

'Let her go' yelled Lewis.

'Or what? What can you do about it?' she asked.

Lewis paused.

'Nothing, but I can' Rikki said, stepping forward.

'I'm not scared of you' Charlotte laughed.

'Let her go' Rikki demanded ,staring at Charlotte who was grabbing my arm tighter.

Charlotte looked at Rikki and laughed.

'No' she said.

'Now!' Rikki yelled.

Charlotte raised and eyebrow.

'No!' she yelled back. She dug her nails harder into my arm.

My arm was really sore. I looked down and saw blood.

Charlotte wouldn't let go.

Lewis grabbed my arm and tried to pull it away from Charlotte's grip. It wouldn't move.

'I saw that' she said.

'Saw what? I asked.

'Lewis, proposing to you' she replied, she sounded angry.

'Yeah so?' I asked, I was trying to hold back tears.

'That should've been me' she said as she twisted my arm around.

I screamed and I saw Rikki, Emma and Bella lift their hands.

'No! Don't' I said as they were about to use their powers on her.

they put their arms down.

'Let Cleo go' said Dr. Denmon.

Charlotte wouldn't move. She twisted my arm more. At this time tears were puoring down my face.

Dr. Demon grabbed Charlotte's arm and pulled it away from mine.

'Go!' Dr. Denmon yelled.

'Thank you' I said as we began to run, leaving Charlotte and Dr. Denmon behind.

When we got to safety Lewis lifted my arm and looked at it.

Emma handed him the bottle of water that she had. Lewis was about to pour it on me.

'No! Wha if they see us?' I said worryingly.

'They won't' said Rikki.

'Okay' I said. 'Pour it on'

Lewis poured the water on my arm.

As my legs turned into my tail I heard Dr. Denmon.

'Well done Charlotte' I heard.

Lewis ran across to her.

'What do you mean?' Lewis asked.

'When Charlotte saw you on the beach she told me about your litttle secret. We were thinking of a plan as we were watching the proposal' Dr. Denmon said. 'Charlotte came up with the idea to hurt Cleo so she would have to get wet' she added.

'How could you do this?' Lewis asked Charlotte.

'Simple. I hate Cleo and I wan't her to pay' Charlotte answered.

Dr. Demon took a camera out of her bag.

Before she could take a picture Rikki dried me off.

'You must've forgot one thing' said Rikki. 'I could dry her in seconds.

'Yeah we were afraid of that' added Dr. Demon.

'So what are you going to do now?' Lewis asked.

Dr. Denmon walked over to us.

'How long would it take you to dry off three mermaids?' She asked Rikki sarcastically.

She lifted the bottle of water and poured it over me, Rikki and Emma. A little bit of water splashed on Bella. We all groaned as out tails appeared.

'There's four of you!' said Dr. Denmon, sounding shocked.

Dr. Denmon lifted her camera.
