THE GROUP CONTINUED TO CONVERSE WITH ONE ANOTHER, chatting and getting to know the new blonde to the 'squad'. Thankfully, Elena no longer had a reason to be jealous of Alice as she realised quickly that the blonde had no feelings, whatsoever, for her boyfriend that weren't more than friendly. The eldest Gilbert realised that the blonde was just Damon's best friend and Elena trusted Damon with her life so when he reassured her, they were just friends, she was chill with it, plus, the female Gilbert really liked Alice so far.
"Wait," Stefan spoke up, a hint of curiosity in his voice. "Why do you have Caroline's letters in your bag?" He asked which spark curiosity inside of everybody else. The newest blonde smiled before gazing at the colourful letters with a fond look as she gently stoked over it, some flakes of glitter falling off as she did so.
"They give me confidence," Alice started, a soft and gentle smile on her face. "When I'm sad or feeling insecure, I take them out and read them. They make me feel happy, loved even." They stared at her in shock, not expecting that before Stefan apologised to which Alice shrugged it off. "It's fine."
Caroline got up from her seat and went over to Alice, wrapping her arms around the other blonde. Jeremy and Tyler clenched their fists, jealousy clouding their minds and was about to speak up when Elena glared at the two, knowing they had some sort of feelings on the model.
'Shut up.' She mouthed to them, a threatening look on her face. The two lovers nodded, watching the heartfelt moment along with the others.
"Thank you," Alice whispered, hugging Caroline back. They stayed in each other's embrace, finding comfort. Even though Alice didn't know Caroline for long, she knew that whatever came out of her mouth or whatever she did was genuine. Caroline Forbes was the kindest and most loving friend anyone could be blessed to have. The two stayed like that for about two minutes, enjoying the silence.
BAM
Alerted, the vampires all stood up and glanced at the door, tense while Caroline pulled Alice closer. Both Tyler and Jeremy stood up from their seats on the couch, taking a step closer to the girl that had their hearts acting wild.
"And what do we have here?" Hearing the familiar voice, everyone tensed while Alice looked confused, glancing at Caroline for an explanation but the blonde was staring at the owner of the voice with distaste.
"What do you want, Klaus?" Once Alice heard the venom in her best friend's voice, she too became tense. The blonde could feel her power surge through her veins, feeling it brush on the tips of her finger.
"Nothing. Just wanted to check up on my dear friends." The hybrid grinned, his eyes sweeping over everyone until they landed on a pair of unfamiliar sea blue eyes. "And who are you?" He let out a wolf whistle, and Tyler growled, anger erupting within him and his boyfriend. He took another step closer to the girl.
"Who I am is none of your business." The blonde's voice was sharp, her eyes and face emotionless as she gazed at the unknown man that everyone in the room seemed to not like that much.
"Feisty. I like you." Klaus said, taking an intimidating step forward only for Alice to copy, clearly not afraid.
"And I don't like you." They stared at each other, none of them breaking the eye contact until a throat was cleared. Looking behind, they saw three more people: two men and a woman.
"Why are you all here?" Asked Elena as she took a protective step forward, ready to defend her friends and loved ones.
"Don't worry your little head, Dopplabitch. We aren't here to cause trouble." Alice let out a growl as the blonde with a British accent insulted her friend. Alice disappeared, shocking everyone as she reappeared in front of Rebekah. She grabbed the blonde's neck before slamming her into a wall, her grip tight as she sent a migraine her way.
"Oh yeah. Barbie." Damon started, grinning as he watched his best friend defend his girlfriend and her new friend. "And others." He addressed the rest of the original vampires and hybrid. "Meet my best friend, Alice Heartstone. Also known as the angel witch."
