It was rather a hectic day at the Minagawa hospital .

" How's the patient condition ? " ask Midorima to one of the nurse

" The patient is getting worn out . If this continues , both the mother and the baby will be at risk "

Labour was never his favourite case to handle but he had too because many of the doctors were either having a surgery or having patients to attend to. That leaves him with the only available person for the job . Not that he mind , its just that some mothers felt uncomfortable having a male doctor helping with their delivery and this patient were no exception .

The mother was already in labour for almost 8 hours now . Any more than that will put a higher risk for the mother and the baby . He need to act quick and to do that he need a female doctor that could help him go through this process .

He thought of calling Kasumi but since she's in the surgery room , there's no way she could help him this . That means he only has one choice left

" call Tsukiko-sensei here immidiately . I need her assistance " said Midorima

" What's the situation here , Shin-chan ? " asked Tsukiko

" The baby isn't coming out . I think the baby is fully turned yet but I can't really comfirmed it since .. "

" since ? "

" The mother won't let me to ."

Tsukiko gigled " really , Shin-chan . Out of all reasons to call me here "

" It's lame .. I know "

" Oh well ..I'll do my best . Its been so long since the last time I saw a newborn baby" said Tsukiko

" That baby was so cute " said Tsukiko

" ah .. " said Midorima as he handed her a cup of hot cocoa

It amazed Midorima how natural she is when she was handling the delivery . The baby wasn't in the position suitable for the delivery that his shoulder was stuck midway . If it was him , he would have sent the mother for the Caeserean section but Tsukiko thought to differ . Even if they made it to the surgery room in a minute , there's no telling whether the baby will survive . Therefore , she took the drastic measure to break the baby's shoulder's bone and pull the baby out by force ( of course with the mother's contraction and pushing ) . The result , a baby boy was born

" you know ..I think you are suitable in the maternal department compare to your current department" said Midorima

" haha .. I don't think so " laughed Tsukiko

" I beg to differ . " said Midorima

" I just thought that the mother would be terrified if she was told to have a caeserean method . Most mothers do 

. Even I myself want to avoid that in future . So I did it on impulse . Sigh ...i felt bad for breaking his bones "

" but you saved his life . "

" I'll take that as compliment"

" I guess I owe you for this "

" yep . How about buying me dinner ? I found a great okonomiyaki store nearby" grinned Tsukiko

" always with the food ."

" are you going to buy me dinner or not?" Tsukik pouted

" wait for me at the lobby at 7 p.m" said Midorima as ruffled her hair

" yay ! okonomiyaki " grinned Tsukiko and Midorima couldn't help but smile

 Tsukiko was waiting for Midorima at the lobby as promised .

" hmm.. perhaps I got too exited that I came 10 minutes early " said Tsukiko

She was humming to herself , trying to past the time . That's when a familiar voice called her out .

" Tsukiko ? "

It wasn't Midorima's voice . She turned around only to be greeted with a good looking light coloured brown haired man . His left hand was covered with tape almost similar how Midorima always taped his fingers . Neverthe less , Tsukiko knew the guy well . Her eyes went wide .

" Shiraishi - kun ? "

note : the delivery part was based on tv show i watch " one minute one born uk " haha .. feeling amazed how the the doctors managed to do that ..its simply amazing show to watch :3
