Game Time!

Time to get moving!

He opened the door for me as we walked in then out of nowhere, " Surprise!!!" I jumped back and covered my face. Everyone I see at school was there, I grabbed Kouki's hand once more as we get through the crowd of people just to get to Kanna. She was sitting next to her boyfriend Kyoto. "Surprise! You should know by now that we don't hate you or anything so don't be mad at us please. Oh and here I got you this I figured you might like it." She handed me a small black box. With in it was a small note and a matching earrings with the necklace that Kouki had given me. I didn't bother trying to hold back the tears. As I was crying everyone walked up to me each and everyone holding a gift. I slowly got up and walked into the bathroom with Kanna not far behind.

"Fumiko what's the matter aren't you happy?" She handed me a tissue as we both sat down.

"No, it's not that I'm not happy it's just I'm too happy. I just didn't know that these many people would show up just to say goodbye to me. I...I just...,"I wiped away the tears then leaned over to give her a hug, "thank you so much and I also...I'm not moving as far as I was expecting. It is still far enough to where I can't see you every day but it's far enough to where we can still see each other on weekends or whenever you are both free."

"W-why didn't you tell us sooner. I mean I am really glad that you're not moving but I do have one question. How would we see each other if none of us have the transportation for it?"

"Well that's the great thing about it. After moving I have saved up enough money to buy a car and also my mother said she would help with some of the payments." We nodded at each other then left to go and tell Kouki.

It was a bit difficult to find him in the crowd of people but we sure enough did. He was standing next to the snack bar talking to Kyoto. "Kouki come here we have to tell you something." Kanna walked up to him and whispered it to him. After she was done he walked over me, held me tight and then started to cry. I pulled him into the office room so I could be with him and only him.

I whispered to him, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but it's all true."

"I know your mother told me when I asked if this whole thing was alright, but you should have told me you liked me. To be honest I like you too." The both of our faces turned bright red.

"D-did... Kanna tell you that?" I looked him in the eye and my face turned a brighter red he replied with, "yes" but then he then pulled out another box from his jacket pocket then got down on one knee.

He opened the box and inside was a diamond ring and on the inner ring it had the words "love, forever "I know it normally isn't like this but Fumiko, I will always love you no matter what happens but will you be mine forever. I'm not meaning for it to sound like I'm proposing but in a way I am. Will you be mine Fumiko Haruko?"

I didn't hesitate to respond, " Yes I will be yours forever. I-I love you Kouki." Just then Kanna opened the door just as Kouki got up and kissed me and everyone was cheering.

Nothing much happened after that. Everyone gave me a small gift then it was getting late so we all had to go home. I just couldn't believe that the guy I have liked for forever was in love with me. Just before I thought my life would be horrible it becomes amazing. I was in my room room and then I got a text from my mother telling me to meet her at the hospital. I was worried on what was going on so I ran next door and asked if Kouki's parents could give me a ride.

I got there not much later and I found out that my grandmother had been very ill and past. I let Kouki and his parents know what was going on and I decided to walk home. I lived pretty far but my mother was still working with her patients and I just had to be alone. I thought today was gonna be great but it had to end badly. Twenty minutes after walking I got another text but this time it was from Kouki. He wanted to meet me at the local grocery. I had no idea how he would get there cause that's about and hour walk from our houses but he managed. It took me a while longer than hoped to get there but my phone had died so I had nothing to listen to.

Walking through the parking lot everything just went black. I had no idea on what was going on or what had happened. I felt a sense of pain in my lower stomach but I just thought it might have been that I didn't eat anything since lunchtime. For a long while I couldn't see or hear anyone. Slowly it kept crossing my mind that I had died and that this is the after life or that I was having a really bad dream and I would wake up any moment now next to Kouki. That wasn't the case and I know it which meant something happened to me and I didn't know what.

Many hours later it was early in the morning. I woke up to find myself in a hospital bed. I looked around and found Kouki asleep in a chair beside my bed and my mother outside the door talking to some trauma doctors. She walked in with a clipboard and a sad look on her face, " Hey dear, well this may not sound fun but you need to go into surgery as soon as we can get you in. You were shot in your lower stomach and the bulletbullet split and is fractured in your stomach fractured r. Oh and I cannot be allowed to scrub in or watch the surgery since I am family but I was able to pull a few strings so that Kouki would be beside you the whole time."

I looked down at my stomach and seen bloody cloth covering it as my mother left the room to what seemed her to be crying. "Kouki wake up please." He stood up and sat on the bed beside me

"What is it do I need to get a nurse?" He was in a sort of panic

"No I will be fine I was told I'm going into surgery soon. I just want to know how I got here. Better yet who shot me."

"Well I brought you here a few hours ago but I have no clue who shot you. I feel that it was someone you know though because I was in the grocery store getting some snacks for my special surprise for you and a strange guy in all black walked up to me and gave me a note."

"W-what did the note say?" I tried sitting up but he pushed me back down so I didn't hurt myself more thanthan I already am.

"I still have it one second," he reached into his pocket and pulled out the note, " To whom this may concern. There is a girl outside bleeding half to death. She goes by the name Fumiko Haruko. Hurry or she may never see the light of day once more." He looked at me dropping his hands. "Fumiko please never go out alone ever again. I don't want to baby you but I love you too much to lose you. I almost lost you last night if it weren't for him. So please I can't let you move I will do whatever it takes to keep you here." He leaned in and kissed me. For our first kiss we both were unaware of what had happened until it did but I fell in love with him more after it.

Time came along for me to get ready. The bullet will soon be out of me and I will soon have to rest. Gladly since it's summer I won't be missing any school but I will not be moving until I am completely recovered. They put me to sleep for the surgery but I felt Kouki's presence there next to me throughout the surgery.

Again I woke up but in a different room of the hospital and in a bit of pain but other than that I was doing great. The doctors had told me before the surgery that it would be a few days before I could go home but since they knew I was moving they told me and my mother that right now isn't the right time to move. Sadly my mother had no choice. The one reason we were moving was because of her new job. My mother came into the room to talk to me about the whole situation and what she was going to do for the time being but then Kouki walked in and heard enough to formulate a plan.

"Mrs. Haruko would you mind if I had a moment of your time?"

"Sure give me one moment. Okay I will be back in a bit love you dear." She kissed me on the forehead then walked over to talk to Kouki. "Yes Kouki what seemed to be the issue?"

"No issue I just overheard that you were moving because of your job. I was just wondering if well Fumiko could live with me I talked it over with my parents and they are perfectly fine with her living with us and we even got a spare room. All we need is your permission. So please if yes I will do everything in my power to protect her."

She looked at me through the glass then back to Kouki, "Yes but you have to promise to her call me everyday and come to see me once a month."

"If that's what it takes then yes and I will even call you on a weekly basis to inform you about everything." He bowed to her. "I am grateful to have your daughter in my life and to me responsible for her. One day I hope to make this a real deal and marry her too but for a long while." He bowed once more then ran in and told me everything.
