"Lauren, know if you turn the music up any louder you're gonna go deaf." my Aunt Tracy says whil flipping through her Cosmopolitan Magazine. Its 9 AM and im already done listening to her bullshit. If she knew that, She wouldn't need to wonder why i always have my music so loud. I sit in the kitchen of my Aunt's "prefect" little house in her "prefect" little neighborhood in her "perfect" little city of Birmingham, Pennsylvania.
I count the seconds. Waiting for Tracy to take me to school so i can skip 1st period and smoke. At Central High School, i go under the radar.
During pep rallys, i sit in the bathrooms.
During lunch, i sit outside. I use that time to smoke.
During classes... well, anywhere but there.
My Aunt Tracy has been there for me my whole life. My dad left my
Mom when i was 8 months old and my mom was shot in a robbery at one of her two jobs to try and support me less than year later. Ive grown up knowing how fucked up life can be. How short it can be and how it can be over in a matter of seconds. I dont value life as much as some people. Now don't make that out like a murder or something. I just don't see why life is so important. There have been Trillions of organisms on this earth. They die and new ones replace them. 1 dies, 3 are born. And People cherish this life like its precious and unique when in fact there are 8 billion people with the same dumb idea of what life really is. Maybe we figure out what life really means after death...
Damn, maybe im going to deep into this.
