Kieran stood at the edge of the Boglands, waiting. West Wind had told him to wait there while he went to grab something. What that could be, he had no idea. He hoped that it wouldn't be a tiara, because he was having enough trouble with his pride as it was, having to wear a dress and stand in a magic-covered wheelbarrow.
The sunlight grew stronger, making the shadows retreat and the birds chirp. It started to get warm, which caused Kieran's dress to itch terribly. Then, it became unbearably hot. The grass started to sizzle in places, but never caught on fire. He looked up, and immediately wished he hadn't. The sun was so bright, it momentarily blinded him. It was as if the sun had moved so near to the land, the heat radiated from it would set it aflame. Kieran felt a tap on his shoulder. He glanced up, squinting this time. It was The West Wind.
"What do you want?" Kieran barked, trying to regain his vision fully. Wind looked momentarily taken aback.
"I'm sorry, what did I do to you?" He asked, folding his arms against his chest. Kieran Glared at him.
"Oh, let's think. Besides the fact that you bruised my pride with the magic wheelbarrow? You left me standing at the edge of the Boglands, in a dress, then nearly blinded me. Why wouldn't I be annoyed? Why wouldn't anyone be annoyed?"
"Ok, I admit I could have given you a warning to the light. But really, it had to be a secret, because of who I brought to see you."
"Who..." Kieran trailed off as a tall man stepped out of the light. He was broad shouldered and extremely tan. His White hair reflected all the light around him, making it seem like it was made of flames. His robes were a golden color, that matched his golden eyes. Even without the golden crown on his head, Kieran knew that he was in the presence of Solis, Lord of the Sun, protector of the lands and all who live therein. He smiled at Kieran, a warm smile that could melt even the coldest of times.
"Kieran. How are you, old friend? You're looking well. I haven't seen you in ages, but you must excuse me of that. It's been busy for me, ever since the dear Lady Moon was captured, and I haven't had much time." He turned to West Wind, and said, "Could you fly up to the courts and announce that he has been found? That would keep the rebellions down, which would be a great help to me. I don't have time to deal with their issues. I barely had time to come see what you needed. And be quick about it, I need you here to explain things to the poor man. He will no doubt have questions, both about himself as well as the welfare of the Lady Moon."
Chuckling, The Sun walked towards Kieran, who looked at the Wind over Solis's shoulder. Wind shrugged, not in the position to explain anything at this point.
"With all due respect, Sir," Kieran said, wringing his hands. "I don't remember ever meeting you before. I don't know the Lady, have had no previous positions of great importance, and haven't known anything about this whole system until yesterday. Could you please tell me what's going on?"
The Sun placed his hands on Kieran's shoulders. His gold eyes peered into Kieran's Green ones.
"You don't remember anything?" He asked, puzzled.
Kieran shook his head. "I'm sorry Sir, no."
Solis scratched his chin. "Well, I didn't expect that you would have lost your entire memory, but," he trailed off, pausing to choose his words carefully.
"Kieran, you are no normal being. You are a being of older origins. Like Me. Like the Lady. Even like all the wind spirits."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that you are the missing Stellae Astrum, Lord of the Stars."
