Part 7: The Great Conflict

  Weeks later upon Earth, a battle sprouted between races. The root of it was none but dominance. They fought for the sake of ruling the land for themselves. Clans against clans, bloodlines against bloodlines. The whole world was at war in one battlefield. It was fierce and brutal.

Omnipotent beings played with the lives of the mortals and immortals in a conflict. Manipulated them and moved them as if it was a game of chess. Piece by piece, their lives were eaten away by the inevitable death in the battle.

"Our Lord, shall we spill blood by your command and in return, divine skill to be the victors of this battle! And our lives will be yours!" Chanted and cried by beasts and men, heard throughout the battlefield by the gods and those that swing their blades and hammers without mercy for the sake of increasing their morale.

The shouts from the battle echoed and reached the ears of Vengeance. Azral's sense for war tingled and caused an urge. He woke and stood from his slumber, mounting his horse. And so he rode upon the battlefield with nothing but chains, wrapped around his waist.

Azral fought along with the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Vengeance took down armies from all sides alone with nothing but a picked up spear that he uses to impale and his chains that he uses to scourge.

The battlefield became a vast bog from pools and puddles of blood from the slain soldiers of different races. The land was dreadful and rancid as the ground was red as if the burning legion had visited.

But alas, enough bloodshed is enough. The battle was finally put to an ease as some grew tired while the others became outnumbered. As they all left and gone to return back to their homeland, the horsemen remained to slay those whom as well remained. But not Azral. As the battle was finally halted, he resumed to his wandering but this time, without his horse. He roamed once again, covered in blood. Dragging his chains along with him to find a new home to reside.

The Great Conflict. A battle of races and a battle for dominance.
