I looked out in to the crowd. I looked at the Darry and Sodapop, who looked nervous. At Two-Bit, who was biting his nails on one hand and giving a thumbs up with the other. Steve, who sat next to Soda was smiling. And Dallas, who was staring at me, nodding.

I grinned as I said the words that sealed everything. "I do." Soda and Darry were relieved.

"With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may finally kiss the bride."

Steve took out the camera and snapped the kiss. It was perfect.

Cheers erupted. Confetti was thrown. It was everything I wanted.

Ponyboy and I cut it, and fed each other a bite. He stared lovingly in to my eyes. We went to sit at a table and the gang came over to congratulate us.

"I can't believe my baby brother is married." Darry said, wiping his eyes. "Are you crying, Dare?" Ponyboy asked, slightly smiling.

"No, I just got somethin' in my eye."

"Yeah, tears!" Soda said, and Pony, me and the rest of the gang laughed. Then it was time for the first dance.

Ponyboy and I danced like royalty. He twirled me and spun me. It was magic. It was as if everyone else disappeared. After we danced, it it was time to dance with Darry. Then everyone else could.

We got the typical wedding gifts: dining sets, a toaster, a blender, etc. We planned on living with Darry for a few more weeks. Sodapop and Steve had began sharing an apartment to there was room for me.

My mother never showed up, nor my father. They never really acknowledged me. But all the family I needed was right here.

As we left the chapel to go on our honeymoon, Steve snapped another picture.

(Except you and Pony)
As we got in to the limousine, we waved goodbye. "See ya in a few days, Dare!" Ponyboy called. I waved from behind him. And then we left.
It was the best day of my life.

(I'm sorry if the formatting messed up due to the pictures. I hope you enjoyed this, I'm sorry if any parts

were sloppy or out of order to a real wedding/reception. I remembered different things and tried to fit them in appropriate places.)
