A young red haired girl walked through the forest. Something was calling her, something magical. The girl was about ten, and wore a dark green tunic and leggings. Her hair was long, reaching past her back, and curled slightly at the ends.

The girl walked into a cave, immediately noticing how the air got cooler and how damp it was in the cave. Her pale grey eyes scanned the cave as she walked farther in. She soon saw a small purple glow. Her eyes lit up as she got close enough to see it. An amulet. She had an amulet. She grabbed it, but before she could do anything else she was in a new place.

The world around her was dark, and in front of her stood a girl with long purple hair reaching past her waist. The red haired girl was confused, and terrified, what happened? Where was she?

"Greetings Clarabelle," The girl spoke, her voice sounded like a whisper. "You have found your amulet. Now, it is time for you to learn how to charge it." Clarabelle stared at the girl in front of her. Charge it? It's a necklace.

"To charge your amulet you must absorb a living things soul. This means you must kill it, and get close to its life force. This also means that you can only eat what is left of a life force after the soul is separated." Clarabelle's eyes widened. She has to kill things?

"W-Who are you?" Clarabelle finally worked up the courage to talk to the girl facing away from her.

"I have many names, though my actual name is Morgan. Go now Clarabelle. Your family must be worried."

Soon, she was back in the cave, the amulet on her neck never to come off. She grinned as she ran home, excited to show her family what she had acquired.

Clarabelle ran into the large home to show her father, the lord of Owl Rise, her amulet.

"Dad! Dad look!" She said excitedly. Her father turned to see what she wanted to show him, and his eyes widened before filling with hate. He grabbed her arm, dragging her out of the house.

"D-dad? What's... What are you doing?" The girl's voice was shaky with terror. He threw her out of the house, glaring at her.

"No daughter of mine is going to have a purple amulet. Leave." His tone was demanding, causing Clarabelle to tremble in terror. He said it again, this time his voice held venom. Clarabelle's eyes filled with tears and she quickly ran off into the forest outside of the town.

A brown haired girl looked up at her father, her eyes filled with confusion. He told her that they were moving. That they're going to move in with someone else. The little girl nodded, not knowing what had happened between her mother and father.

The pair soon arrived at a small house, big enough for three people but not as big of a house the girl was used to.

"Daddy? What's going on? Why are we leaving Mama?" The girls voice was laced with curiosity. The girl couldn't have been more than twelve. Her purple eyes scanned her father's.

"Kiara, sweetheart, your mother and I, we don't get along so we decided it was better for us to be apart." He crouched down to his daughter's height, smiling softly at her. She seemed confused at his words, they always seemed to get along fine.

The door opened, pulling Kiara out of her thoughts.

"Levin! It's so nice to see you again! Oh? Who is this adorable girl?" The woman at the door chirped. Her father smiled, looking at her.

"Well Lillian, this is my daughter, Kiara."  The raven haired female smiled brightly, allowing them inside.

***

After hours of the two adults talking, Lillian got up. She said she was going to take Kiara to an empty room to sleep in, since it was getting late. The brunette nodded sleepily, following her without hesitation. The two families seemed to get along well. Lillian had two daughters, Airi, the youngest, and Felix, the oldest.

They all became friends rather quickly for having such an age gap between the three. Airi was eight and Felix was sixteen. Neither of them had asked Kiara why her and her father were moving in with them so suddenly, and she appreciated it.

Kiara lied on the bed, not able to fall asleep as she had seen a cute boy outside while they were coming over here. He had blonde hair and dark blue eyes that sparkled in the sunlight. She knew he was older than she was, but she couldn't help it. He didn't look that much older. Maybe about three years.

She soon let sleep overtake her, as all the events from that day wore her out. She was still confused about her parents, but decided not to question it as she closed her eyes.
