The lost souls

Chapter 1: THE ABANDONED TOWN.

Long, long ago was a wise man named Nackson. He helps the poor and saves all kinds of towns,  and villages from some kind of dark magic that appears randomly causing ruin and mayhem to the people, no one knows where or when the dark magic arrived or how it came to be. But one day whilst traveling far in the east he came across a town that seemed to be deserted. He looked around the strange sad town of broken dusty houses and over grown weeded streets, burnt wood, broken windows and other signs of destruction was found everywhere. What could have happened and why, in his search Nackson found a young girl dressed in ripped furred rags curled up hugging her scrapped red bony knees against an old what seems to be oak tree in the middle of the deserted broken town. shivering from the cold unnatural wind blowing harshly around her, Nackson knelt down on one knee beside her and saying the words "chwythu i ffwrdd gwynt llym oddi wrth y ferch yr ydych yn amgylchynu yn ôl at y meistr a oedd unwaith yn rheoli chi".

translation: blow away harsh wind from the poor young girl you surround back to the master that once controlled you

A gentle light surrounded the young girl growing bigger and bigger until the wind barrier breaks and flows back to its owner that seems to be in  the direction of the castle like mansion on the top of the hill at the  end of the village. As she slowly opened her eyes still shivering from the cold, she felt Nackson place his bear furred cloak her form. she looked up at the stranger Nackson and whispered with a shaken voice "leave sir...before its too late.....before 'they' find you here". 

Nackson slowly shook his head and said to the girl "don't worry about me I will be fine, what is your name?" 

My name is Yana" answered the girl. " Can you tell me what happened here?" asked Nackson. 

Poor Yana began to tear up she wrapped the fur coat around herself some more, she stared at the fallen golden leaf that fell before her landing between her bare scratched feet, with her tearful amber eyes she began to speak. "It was horrible, everyone gone, it was a warm day in the summer a year ago and everyone was dancing and singing, even the royal family joined us. But out of no where dark clouds came and surrounded us and the wind started to blow hard making the trees sway violently and pushing the market stalls to ruin, we all went home in a panic, our queen and princess went to the castle while the king and hid son prince stayed to help the elderly home safely. Then thunder and lightning started and set most of the towns houses on fire, everyone was panicking. suddenly a strange creature of black and red with pale green eyes and sharp claws stood before our king, it was nothing we have ever seen before he was half bull half wolf, it spoke as though it  was human, it said 'king of leaf town surrender yourself to me or your towns people will suffer, our king did as he was told for the creature said we would be unharmed"

Yana began to shed tears clutching the furred coat. "but the beast lied....it killed all the royal family and wounded even killed many of the people....and those who survived are in the castle being enslaved by the creature...I am the only one left with fight in me the rest have given up hope...I escaped three days ago but I was found and I was put under a spell not being able to move because of the harsh cold wind...unable to find help."

The young girl placed her cold pale hands over her pale face as she cried from the memory of the horrid day and how her life has been since then. Nackson held her close to him and tried to sooth her mind. "you have been through so much Yana you are a brave young girl, is your family in the castle with the rest of the towns people?" he asked as he wiped the tears from her cold face.  Yana shook her head "they died in the fire"

Nackson looked up at the castle then back at Yana "go somewhere safe Yana, I will be back soon" Yana nodded and did as she was told. Nackson stood up and started to walk towards the castle surrounded by a dark heavy thunder cloud.
