Madison's POV

"Do you remember our entire conversation?"

"Not all of it, but a lot of it."

"Well, the conversation had died down, and I got a text."

"What'd it say?"

"Nothing important. After that, I pretty much broke down. The nurses took me out of room cause I think you took all of your contraptions out. When I was able to come back, you were fast asleep. The nurse said she had given you some drugs and didn't know when you'd wake up. Just to be there when you did."

"It must have been pretty important if you broke down."

I shrugged.

"Can I see it?"

"If you want."

"I want to."

I nodded and handed Archer my phone. My teeth caught my bottom lip. I watched her as she read the message over and over again. She was focused on it, as if her eyes were playing tricks on her. When Archer looked up to me, my heart sagged. Her eyes were filled with hatred and sadness. She handed to phone back to me. She took my hands in her and kissed them gently.

"I'm sorry."

"There's nothing for you to be sorry about."

"Where are you going to stay?"

"Maybe at Garrett's. His parents love me like their own."

She ran her fingers through her hair and sighed. "That's good. Was there anything else that happened?"

"Kinda." I shrugged.

"Well?"

"It's nothing really... You just asked if I wanted us to be something."

"And what did you say?"

I mumbled, "Yes."

"I think I'm starting to remember more stuff now," She grinned.

"Oh god." I pulled my knees up to my chest, wrapped my arms around my shins, and buried my head into the crevice between my knees and chest.

She out a "No, it's okay. You're a good kisser by the way."

"Ughhhhhh." My face flushed, my embarrassment evident.

She laughed.

"She is so stupid. Look now she fell down the stairs. Why can't he just kill her already?"

I laughed. Archer was in my arms, even though she was a couple inches taller than me, as we watched the show "Slasher" on Netflix. It was pretty good, but Archer clearly thought the opposite.

"All I'm saying is that if she's gonna have an American accent, she should at least always have it."

"Chérie, I bet it's hard to remember a crap ton of lines, all the emotions with them, and to keep an American accent."

"Yeah, but if they wanted an American, they should of gotten an American actor."

"Can't disagree with that. They also could've just let her be British."

"Yeah. Or maybe she insisted on being American."

"If she did, that was a stupid choice."

"Definitely."

I smiled, actually happy for the first time in months.

Archer picked up the remote and paused the show. I looked at her, confused.
