~~Intro~~
Dylan sighed and restirred her drink. She was sitting out on her balcony, and once again her sister and her rowdy friends were making enough noise for her to hear all the way out on the balcony. And thier house was pretty bug. Another chorus of laughs erupted from her sister's room. She heard one of Jennie's friends, Ann: "Ans it was like that big and I said, wow you've got a mighty big one Kevin!" She rolled her eyes and sighed. I hope they're not talking about what I think they're talking about, Dylan thought. Dylan sighed again and looked out across the surrounding landscape. The sparkly, rugged coast of California keenly greeted her eyes, looking as pituresque as the many movie scenes that repeatedly captured it. The houses' lights glowed softly in the balmy night air and she could hear waves crashing in the distance. On this Friday night, it seemed typical and almost obvious that all people 11 to 22 would be out with thier friends, having fun. And here she was, having fun with her dearest friends in the world: a book, headphones and music. Oh yeah.
Meet Dylan. She loves reading. Into getting good grades. Isn't concerned about appearances, as long as she is hygenic. Loves looking at life with a dry, sarcastic outlook. Is undecided about boys. Only contributes to class when she can use her often puzzling sense of humor and alienate her classmates even more. She avoids parties like Walmart on Black Friday. She has okay friends. She has okay parents. She has an okay---wait, hold up. She has an older sister. But it's not okay. Beacues she. Dominates. Everything. What happens when Dylan gets thrown, not by choice, into a completely alien world of parties, boys and excess, and manages to meet a hot somebody along the way?
