TF5 Review (SPOILERS)

Start from the beginning

- The ending was so abrupt. After Optimus and the other saved the planet once again (Actually it was Vivian that did but whatever), the movie basically ended there. There was no follow up on everyone on what they did after or how each person was going to return to their lives. Megatron fell off the ship and there was no further evidence on what happened to him. He had been through far worse. He's fallen off the atmosphere and onto the planet and was easily revived, there no way he could of died from just being sucked out from the ship and falling couple of thousand feet.

Questions:

- My main question before I watched the movie was how Megatron got his form back as in AOE he was still Galvatron. I was looking for any kind of explanation. Even a quick line from Megatron saying how he changed from Galvatron would of satisfied me but they gave us nothing. It frustrated me beyond belief.

- The whole TRF Operation was odd. They didn't even explain how it came to be or what TRF even stands for. It made it look like they were all the bad guys and yet they just ended up tearing that shit off like it was never a thing and helping Optimus in the end. What was the point?

- In Sir Edmond Burton mansion, he explained to Vivian that she was the last Witwiccan line descendant from Merlin. There wasn't much time to look at the book she was given with the family tree, but i'm pretty sure I saw Sam Witwicky in there. If Vivian was really the last Witwiccan, then what happened to Sam?

- I don't know why they involved Wheelie into this movie when he wasn't in AOE. It makes no sense. WHERE DID HE COME FROM??

- A simple question, why is Drift red? His car form is different too, a Mercedes I believe. I literally only saw his car form once for a few seconds. Everyone else is the same except for Drift.

- Another question I had before watching the movie was about the tiny dino bots that were somehow a thing in this movie. I think this is the first time they have had as I should say 'Sparklings' into the movies. I can guess where they came from but literally, did Grimlock and the others just have the potential to sprout babies overtime? How do they even reproduce? Seriously, they don't explain how this sparkling shit works in Bayverse!

- Bumblebee has never used his real voice before until the perfect moment where Optimus almost killed him. I was a bit confused as to how he got his voice back but I decided to brush it off. What I didn't get was why he went back to using the radio to talk and then talking with his original voice later at the end of the movie. Did he just not have full functionality of it or something? What's going on?

- Also, Bumblebee has this sorcery that allows him to break apart and then connect himself back together. That shit don't make any sense. But then why didn't he use that tactic when fighting Optimus?

- How does Barricade keep coming back after basically dying in every movie he's been in?

- There were a lot of new Decepticons I've never heard of thrown into this movie. Berserker was one of the coolest ones I was excited to see because of the toy they released of him. Even so they didn't show much of him, Mohawk, or Nitro Zeus.

- I'm having a hard time summing up the very last scene of the movie with the human Quintessa. I should of known she didn't die when she just magically popped out of thin air anticlimactically. I thought this was supposed to be the last movie of the series. Is that just how it's going to end or are they planning on making another movie? I'M SO CON FUSED!

Things I wish they added:
- I wish they gave more insight of Bumblebee and Hotrod's relationship. They had so much history together as the movie revealed they were brother in arms. I was expecting Bee and Hotrod to share some moment of rejoicing from seeing each other after all this time, but they didn't even act that way. They acted as though they just saw each other yesterday.

- I Reeeeeally wanted them to explain a few things from the other movie as to how Galvatron became Megatron and maybe connected more to AOE instead of just focusing on the present time of the film.

- As much as the trailers led on, they should of made waaaay more scenes with the new bots. The most we got was Cogman but I can't complain about that.

Trailers vs Movie:
- My biggest issue was that the first trailer involved Canopy so I thought he played a bigger part in the story or with Izabella. The fact that they killed him off so fast bothered me.

- They did specific reveal trailers for characters like Hotrod and Steelbane yet they barely got any screen time, making the trailers show the most of their footage in the movie.

- Optimus was shown a lot in the trailer as if making him the main focus of TF5 so it was obvious that people would get hyped for him, but the movie was so focused on the humans that they didn't even show him as much as the trailer's led on. I'm sure this was a major disappointment for everyone.

- They added a lot of things about Izabella but honestly she wasn't involved with the plot that much.

Overall Points:

- Although the movie was good, it had the potential to be a LOT better.

- Micheal Bay has done far better. Everyone wanted this movie to be the grand finish since it was supposed to end the whole series, but things were rushed and not enough robot content was added.

- They put too much history into the movie that it left gaps and more unanswered questions.

- I really want to know if the ending was hinting to another movie or just a random twist.

- The trailers revealed too much and rose everyone's expectations on the film just to shit on them with misleading content and 'not enough robots' as most people would hate on the movie for.
